McGee is so beautifully confused, lol. I liked that he stayed for the being yelled at. The ending? I bet Gibbs never anticipated he'd gain a kid that gets into trouble all the time on top of the great investigator when he dragged Tony to DC :).

Awww, that was sweet. That little scene in the break room? I'm totally going to pretend that's what they're doing all the time. Actually, it's not that unlikely if you remember the scene on the couch at Gibbs' after Tony's dad showed up. Also - Tony's reasoning for not mentioning being shot at is totally reasonable in my eyes. It's not only Tony who needs to learn but Gibbs as well. :)

Brilliant! I loved how relieved Gibbs was that it wasn't his fault Tony behaved the way he did. And when he was wondering why he felt like he should notice Tony being sick. Also the "comparison" between parents yelling at their kids in the mall vs. head slapping Tony. LOL! I wonder if Gibbs realizes what an easy way to get Tony to tell the truth about stuff he's gained - just give him cough medicine and he's starting to spell secrets (like about his dad). The last sentence? Makes me giddy for the next chapter :).

Tony having to change his medical proxy, which would have reinforced his feeling of abandonment.
Tony accepting that fateful undercover assignment as a result of being isolated.

Mmm... starts with an excellent character study of Ducky, wandering through his thoughts, poses a question why Tony should be lying on that table, and ends with Ziva being her usual obnoxious self.
