| Gestir chapter 12 . 8/30/2017 This is one of the stories I downloaded, and stored, and then Life kicked my ass and I didn't get around to actually reading it until months later. Which is now. I like this story, for various reasons. I like that it's a cop story. Short, but coppy. I like that it's a rizzles story second and a Jane and Maura story first, if you get my drift. It's loving, and it's a Breakthrough Story, but it's still secondary to the actual plot. I like that. I have never pulled it off myself, but I do try. I like that it doesn't dwell on some things. My OCD part wants to know what happened to Mauras car, but that's not important considering the hell that erupts, and it is good that the plot moves on. I want to kick Angelas ass, which means you write her in character, so good for you. I like that Jane goes green when the case turns nasty. I like that as the team digs in the cover gets more brief, since there isn't much to say. I like "YOU HEATHEN" a lot. :-) I have gripes too. I'm not sure about the maggots in snow. Nobody forgets about Bathory. There is a grizzly in the text that should probably be just grisly. Like you said, it requires some suspension of disbelief but overall it is very good. I am not the best-read when it comes to fanfic, but I feel it's a fresh angle on things. I like the theme, and the crime, and the flow. I think it's really well done. Thank you for writing and sharing. |
