Very nice reading the many letters between the two which fleshed out their characters as well as the relationship. The parts with the two fossils and Luci were sweetly touching as was the 'love through the ages' story. Bucky deserved a story as swell as Steve and Peggy's, too. And you gave it to him...to them. Thanks ever so.

omg I'm crying. Literally. Not like when people say it on the internet as a reaction... I actually have tears streaming down my face. The story's so good, but I wasn't expecting it to be like with Steve and Peggy. I mean, I admit I've been wanting to read a scenario like this, but when I started reading this today, I didn't think this would be the day I'd read that scenario... But if anyone was gonna write it, I'm glad you did because it turned out really well. I've got a tiny hope deep within me that you'll, by some miracle, make it all work out with some magic or something, but that's mostly to make myself feel better. Honestly, that idea is ridiculous and would take away from the story. Anyway, I'll stop this mini rant. Can't wait for the next chapter and the tears to follow!

Somehow I missed the final update for this story and just read it tonight. I have no idea how that possibly happened! Anyway, this was as heartbreaking and realistic as I expected, and just beautiful. No drama, just a quiet death from a common ailment, especially for a senior, but Bucky was able to be at her side. So sad, yet wonderful.

PLEASE consider adding some chapters someday, perhaps of Bucky looking back on their time together as the years pass for him now. You wrote a beautiful, original love story and should be quite proud of it and yourself!

Bahh! I love how this is the most "natural" path for a 1940s!Bucky/OC fanfic because you don't see many of these at all and it's sad because Luci's old and she's probably not got many years of life left and Bucky and Steve will live for a lot longer, unless you change something. (Woah, the amount od "and"s in that sentence.) I can't wait to see what happens next, though I'm likely to need a dozen tissues to help with the trauma :)

Oh, wow. What a beautiful chapter! This was my favorite one yet, and that's saying a LOT. I find myself both super excited and super anxious with each update: I absolutely love this story and I'm always scared this will be the chapter when she may be gone. Having Bucky dote on her as if he truly sees her as his girl from years ago and not a frail elderly woman is so touching and romantic. My heart will always break because they didn't have a lifetime together but when death does part them for real this time (I assume?) I'll try to find solace knowing they had at least a little time together. But please let Luci live many more healthy and happy years! (Maybe he could ask her to marry him again? So they could eventually be laid to rest together as Mr. and Mrs. Barnes?)
