Reviews for Love, Lose, Repeat, Prioritize
ancientdragonduelist chapter 1 . 4/17
I loved reading this story.

It was a little cathartic seeing Tai go through the pain, but when Yang and Ruby woke up and came to their dad, my heart melted.

It really stuck in my mind, seeing Yang and Tai holding onto each other, helplessly wondering why Raven wasn’t there. But, they still have each other, and that’s enough.

Thank you for writing this.
Fifth Horseman chapter 1 . 4/15/2016
After reading this a few months ago I got the inclination to keep my head open for ideas where I could write something with Taiyang and that finally resulted in my most recent story that went up this week. So, I thought the least I could do is drop a review on this by way of a thank you.

I really liked how you showed all of the different parts of the emotional make up of Taiyang. Losing two women he loved, one walking away without a word, the other presumably dead, that would shred anyone. He goes through the gamut of emotions, even now with the time that has passed due to the near loss of his daughters. He wonders is he is to blame for Raven leaving, he wrestles with the dilemma of whether or not he would take her back, he chastises himself for putting his daughters in the position that led to their little adventure. His heart is so torn, Summer put it back together after Raven left, and then to lose her too...it's a wonder he's still standing.

His love for his daughters and their love for him is what will keep him together and get him through all of the pain. There is a lot of pain here with him and you showed it well in all of its facets.

You also did a good job portraying Yang and Ruby at those young ages, and it presented a powerful emotional picture as they interacted with their father.

It was largely his pain and the interaction with his girls that tripped the switch in my head to want to do something with him and I finally did.

Thanks for the great story.

Aw~ this is so heart wrenching! I love it. I do agree with your interpretation of Tai's struggle. This was a lovely story to read. Thanks!

Thank you so much this has made a lot of things make sense and has given me a better understanding and appreciation for what my father went through when my mom left so thanks it really means a lot you genuinely make the world a bit brighter

I honestly think this is the best fanfiction I have ever written. Bravo to you.
Molkor of the west chapter 1 . 6/22/2015
Good grief, I’ve read this one about three times now, and it still gets me. No major contradictions with canon(so far). Indeed both Taiyang and Qrow's characterizations are so generic yet heartfelt, that this will fit likely fit even after these characters are introduced in the show. Well done, 10/10, with lots of feels.

This is seriously awesome.
tg chapter 1 . 1/2/2015
GAWD Damnit! you made me cry, again.
Guest chapter 1 . 11/24/2014
You did a great job of capturing the team dynamic between Qrow and Taiyang, and provided some really good characterization when it came to his marriage with Summer. On top of that, you managed to bring up major plot points with the show, and stayed consistent with them while introducing ideas of your own. In other words, perfect as usual.

Now, I don't think I've brought this up before in a review, but after being consistently blown away by your fan fiction, I would personally be really interested to see what you could do with original fiction. So I want to recommend that you try that out of you haven't already. But hey, if you don't want to, you'll hear no complaints from me either way. I am more than happy to keep reading RWBY from you.
Tatya1999 chapter 1 . 11/15/2014
To start your adventure go to be an and they will and he won't leave them and she is coming back maybe? And man life hurts don't it.
Slen D. Man chapter 1 . 11/3/2014
Beautifully told and, you're right, this isn't a perspective we've gotten enough of in the Fanfic-verse so I'm glad someone did so (Bonus points for someone with your writing talent!). The insight into Taiyang's inner termoils and how he copes with losing not one but two loves within such a short span was wonderfully written and had me feelin' for the poor guy the whole way through.

As an aside: My theory is that Raven(Yang's mom) was the one who axed Summer. Why? Idk, but it has drama potential written all over it so I'm gonna jump on that theory wagon.

Dr.Schadenfreude055 chapter 1 . 11/3/2014
So good I couldn't help but read Taiyang's lines out loud to myself. This was absolutely brilliant, nothing short of it. :)
LongSean22 chapter 1 . 11/3/2014
Wow. Another great story, I'm not even surprised anymore.

Your way with words always seems to hit home with me. More than once during this story I felt myself getting a little misty eyed... In a totally manly and mature way... Of course...

This is definitley a side to the story I never really considered before. Usually people focus on the one that left, and how difficult it was for them and the tough choice they made. Very few deal with the ones who get left, and how they cope with the situation.

Again, this was quite a good story in my opinion. Keep up the good work.
Moongarm chapter 1 . 11/3/2014
I'm very glad that you wrote this story. Now that Volume 2 is over, there is SO MUCH unsaid about Ruby and Yang's family, and so many damn questions. Ugh, maddening, only have to wait a year to discover anything else.

As for the story itself, you have an unnatural ability to write pain/angst scenes. Between this and Grimmspawn...wow. The writing style and the raw emotion that is conveyed is incredible. I admit to getting a little misty eyed while reading this, from Tai's emotions when seeing the food with Daddy on it to talking to little Yang, powerful writing.

With the appearance of Raven at the end of episode 12, and finally diving into the sister's backstory, I hope we learn more about Tai, and Qrow, and Summer. Until then, stories like this will fill in the blanks until canon information is revealed to the fanbase. Excellent work as always.
