As long as this was, I felt like it wasn't enough. It was so good I wanted to keep on reading! The bromance, the angst, the hurt was perfect and I enjoyed every minute of it. d'Artagnan being hung with Aramis finding him in such state...wow. I was speechless! The way you described Aramis made me imagine the whole scene as if I was watching on the TV. Everything was great! A job well done!

Oh dear, so much torture for poor d'Artagnan. I'd ask how he deserved to be treated so badly but I'm afraid that's rather superfluous, seeing that this is fanfiction... And I guess all that brotherly companionship made up for it ;-)
Written with almost too much talent once more. And again, I enjoyed every single word of the story. Thanks for writing, thanks for sharing! And I really do hope I'll soon find the time necessary to read another work of yours!

WOW. This was an amazingly written piece solely from d'Artagnan's perspective. The heartbreak that d'Artagnan felt over Constance was so descriptive and overpowering. It's sad that a man can't seem to be a Musketeer and have Love, but hopefully the act of friendship and of the brotherhood helps detour the pain at such a loss. The four of them have a sorry and bad score in that regard. I know Aramis was just trying to help when he dragged d'Artagnan along, but it was rather clear to see that this was not the Gascon's cup of tea-but I guess the marksman had his own heartbreak to deal with.
It was hard to read through d'Artagnan's torture. I've never seen anything like it. I have now idea how he was strong enough to survive/resist something as slow-going and harsh as that, so he's feelings in regards to Athos, and his other two brothers were really strong and steadfast. So glad that everybody got out of there alive, if not unscathed.
Such an amazing, intriguing, distressing and heartfelt fic. You are such a fantastic writer! :) I loved this!

I'm so glad you posted this. This is the kind of h/c I love to read as well, and it gave me the whumpy butterflies like few fics have managed to do for me before. (I have stubborn butterflies.) It thrills me how you can write our Musketeers so close, in-tune, comfortable in each others' proximity, and brotherly, while simultaneously keeping them so wonderfully in character. Again, thank you for writing and posting this. It was a pleasure to read.
