There's some technical issues with your grammar, but they're overshadowed by a fantastic story. Normally I'm incredibly against the idea of romance (or whatever might pass for it for Alex) in Prototype stories, but you managed to pull it off in a way that I actually didn't mind at all.

And, even more astounding, I've never read an Assasin's Creed story I liked. So, thanks for that! I'm not a fan of the game, and don't know anything about it, but the presentation of everything in this fic was done so well that I didn't need to know anything prior to reading this (outside of the general idea), which is an excellent thing to be able to pull off that VERY few fics manage for any fandom.

The characters felt alive. This was enjoyable. A great read.

This one shot is absolutely amazing. The characterization for all characters is accurate, it's entertaining to read, and the progression to the end feels natural. I'm really impressed with Alex's characterization in particular, since it can be hard for people to write a powerful character who is stoic and predatory towards most, but still emotional (or trying to be, if nothing else) on some level.

I would appreciate an epilogue exploring various character's reactions to Desmond's change, how this affects Desmond's and Alex's relationship if it does at all, and perhaps a bit exploring Desmond adapting to this change. But the content that is here is satisfying on its own, making this a fanfic I will probably reread in the future.

The characterization is spot on. The character interactions are exciting. The story is intriguing. The storytelling is fluid... There is nothing to complain about.
I really hope you continue this work. I'd love to see how you would explore Desmond's powers and his changes, his relationship to Alex, Alex's thoughts, Dana's reactions, how this impacts the game storylines... There is still so much potential! But don't get me wrong. The story is great as a oneshot, too.
