Who is Sakura? This character has been mentioned multiple times out of nowhere. I think you meant to say Korra. Other then that, this fanfiction is really good! I hope you update, it's a great idea.

Heh, make makes a great foil, both to Bolin and Kai's funny. The meditation trip was interesting, it almost felt like a psychedelic episode. I kinda liked the pacing of it.

OK, this was a very sweet and tender chapter. Thats all Im gonna say about the emotional part or Im gonna end up losing man points. Interesting choice with Chaquan, any particular reason?

You might say that Korra is written out of character when compared to the original series; and yes, I do not discount that fact, however, one of the perks of being a fanfiction author is that I can write the characters in anyway I see fit. Korra is written the way she is for a very specific reason, which, should you choose to continue reading the story, will become evident as the story progresses. If you're looking for the rough-cut, bashful bender, Avatar Korra of the series, she's not in this story. Korra takes on a much more healing role in this fanfiction, as though the roles of that characters have been somewhat reversed. In the series, Korra was the one to struggle with loosing her sense of self, her purpose in life, her bending, her friends, family and lover. Fade to Black explores all of those things and more, but through the experience of Mako.

I'll be completely honest, the story is interesting but Korra seems very... out of character.

Wow, this is an awesome idea. The whole living together thing is a great plot device, it could lead to anywhere you want. Only thing is I think having both Zolt and Amon were one villain too many.

There you are, welcome back. The chapter was a bit slow, but the last part was nice, very bondingy. I can understand your concern about the plot, I feel like Zolt or Amon should return before Mako makes a full recovery. Recovery, Zolt, Amon following each other would end up feeling like a procedural tv show. And both Zolt and Amon are loose ends you need to tie up.

Im calling that alley "Crime Alley" from now on.
