Goshdarn. I really don't have much else to say: artfully done, as usual. Perfectly in character, as usual. Just brilliant. I must admit, I was getting slightly emotional (which is a silly thing but I'm silly so I accept that). After finishing the manga (again) recently, and rereading this fic (again), I'm just awestruck with how well this nestles into the canon story-line. Not only can I see it happening: I hope, in whatever floating ether of finished series, that is the exact outcome.

This was absolutely haunting! You capture Stein's voice so perfectly. I loved the comment about "the peace of lunacy"'; very well put. Thanks so much for sharing this, it was excellent!
