No words in my opinion as a reviewer, a fan and a huge admirer for this story that will do it justice. This was so well written, the most detailed everything, characters written SO in character and well throughout, long chapters, plot and heartache oh and a lot of loveeeee. This had it all and I spend the better part of the last week as I wasn't well glued to my phone, reading this story and feeling better because of it. Amazing job and easily the best written story I've read in a very long time. I wish I had more words just thank you for this amazing tale and it was so adored by me! Xoxo

I’ve mentioned this many times referring to Finch in canon and how Fan Fic writes him, I despised him at times his disregard for Roots safety - yet she went way above and beyond the call of duty to protect them all. Even at the end on canon he dithered and delayed programming the virus, could he have saved both John and Root ( who I really do believe survived abd would have been proved had the series continued) but he gave up on Root so many times and even Shaw yet Root believed and didn’t give up looking for her.
I felt he used them as a commodity at times and in the end waljedcaway to a happy life in Italy with his love. It was all so wrong, how could an all seeing AI not know the snipersas on the roof - that’s why I believe it was Roots idea to fake her death.
This is just one example of Shaw not giving up on Root knowing her gut feeling which was usually right - Root needs her she knows it.
So I’m back to Finch I disliked his character ( brilliant actor) but I just disliked how he treated both Shaw and Root at times.
Brilliantly written - this whole fiction you have worded so well with depth and feeling ( even Shaw that softer side) great stuff.

A truly beautifully written chapter - it may have contained sex but it was not lustful it was raw gentle lovemaking. Shaw’s actions said many more things than her mouth verbally could have. It was pure love in the making - bit cheesy way of describing it but it showed just how much these two really feel for eachother.
Both have always used sex as a release with other people nothing more than scratching an itch the way Shaw never stayed or slept with someone more than a couple of times. Root was similar she just took on the persona of what the other person wanted or what she needed, here these unsaid words of love, need and fear of “I can’t lose you” has never happened to either of them.
It’s why Root said “Sam...” just before she passed out and it’s why Finch had to Tase Shaw to stop her from getting to Root. I don’t think Shaw has ever admitted to anyone that she was scared - did she know that Root heard her? Also Root feeling sick she caused Sameens worry enough to need to be tased because of her.

Yes this was a beautiful chapter.

I have to say I’ve read this “number Root getting shot a few different ways from people’s perspective of Canon.
I think this is one of the best I’ve read. I mentioned before people always write Shaw Hard and as she says herself she has no feelings - but it was always clear she did have feelings for Root, you have written a much softer version and I actually like it.
Root always came across cocky but there were times when she felt like she was drowning and Shaw grounded her. We saw it when she never gave up looking for her when Finch did. Here we see her fighting not to show her real feelings, scared to show how much she cared but it was always there between them.

Oh and Finch was an arse I disliked him at times in canon and how he acted but don’t get me started on him! lol

I really wasn’t sure how this softness would play out but it works. We only saw that softness at the very end when Root took Shaw’s hand few words but actions body angles and looks spoke volumes.

So what should Root do -she should go buy Shaw a big fluffy bath sheet and her proper soap

Well it was frantic pent up sexual tension relieved for both of them.
I like how you have given Shaw a little uncertainty in her persona she showed it a few times in Canon pushing Root away yet pulling her at other times but you have ratcheted that side of her more.
I’m looking forward to see where this goes.
I’m sure the finch and Reese will see a more relaxed Shaw.

Starting this for a second time! This story is absolutely fantastic and definitely one of my favorites.

just finished reading everything. i really took my time cos I was afraid that this is gonna come to an end. and it has come to an end for me. its just perfect. never have I ever read a fic more perfect than this. this is just perfect yknow. perfect. nothing can beat perfect. you captured the characters... everything. its amazing. i wish you'll wrote more shoot stories. ill be waiting and hoping i guess. its perfect. get that? perfect. and with no shame, Im gonna start reasing this fic again, and again and again until you come up with something :P its perfect. thank you! its been one hell of a ride!

Shaw is such a cheesy romantic, I can't :D Also, I laughed out loud when she said "Mine" haha. I guess I read too many werewolf stories.

Oh my gosh, the end. I found this maybe two weeks ago, and all I can say really is wow. That was amazing... the character development, the little pieces of plot which all link, and the innocent shoot fluff (my favourite bits!) This was really just incredible. Well done, and thank you for sharing this with us! I don't know if you want to be an author, or if you are an author, but you sure have the talent of one! Just thank you!
