Best touka x kaneki I've read in a while! Also, one thing: these were One shots? Lol all seemed like an amazingly linked story to me. Amazing.

I honestly didn't know that this is a series of one-shots so instead, I read it as linking chapters from a long story.
God, don't get me started on how good this is ( and surprisingly the chapters link with one and another pretty well, with chapter 7 as the last chapter). This is probably the best fanfic I have read for a while. The storyline and the depth of the story literally makes me speechless.
I read all of it in one go since it's too good and I don't see the reason I should put it down. I couldn't stop. This is perfect.

So, what I did was, I accidentally opened the last chapter and couldn't stop reading. Having read this, I'm, for lack of a better word, in awe of your evil and destructive talent. I've not been able to go back to the earlier ones yet, I'll review them later, but this thing blew my mind.

I can absolutely see this happening, Touka falling to madness along with Kaneki. What truly stuck me were your description of her father and his struggle with kakuja, the parallels between Kaneki and her Arata, both forgetting themselves and each other in their madness to the point of actually trying to kill each other and lastly how, in the end, Touka became what she hated and feared through her fear of loss and loneliness, similar to Kaneki. I'm certain her anger and hatred factor in as well, but I think fear is a much more powerful motivator than those two.

It's very remarkable, how you created a piece resonating so strongly with the dark, edgy aspects of Ishida's work. Let's face it, even that miserable sadist (I have a love-hate relationship with him, cringing at the abuse he throws at his characters all the while worshipping his genius) is slightly more merciful, what with focusing on themes of hope and belief (represented by Touka's belief that Kaneki will return, and the new cafe :re) even as he "kills" Kaneki. I'm pretty sure this oneshot is as dark as it gets. It's worse than them killing each other physically, because figuratively they are already dead.

I suppose I could write an essay on this work, judging by its depth and length, but I'm out of time, so I'll wrap up.

My only criticism would be several typos and grammar mistakes - which, surprisingly, don't interrupt the reading process as much as it usually would (normally it bothers me immensely), maybe because the plot and the characterization leave no room for doubt.

One last thing, I listened to a mix of the anime's songs while reading this and that might also be why my vision got blurry towards the end. But it's mostly you, so please do your best to continue writing such haunting oneshots, I personally can't get enough of the tragedy that is Kaneki Ken.

You know I now want the manager/owl to come in and beast some sense into them. Almost but I also enjoy where things are going... ah decisions.

This is honestly the best thing I've ever read. I mean yeah ok I frickin cried blood reading it but this is amazing. I'm too shocked to say anything else right now tbh my heart cannot take this overwhelming feeling of sadness. But I love it. I love that feeling. Thank you so much for writing this, it's my absolute favourite chapter yet. I'd love to be able to write like you. Please continue.

wow. EXCELLENT. this whole story is a dark piece of art. sadness to madness, Kaneki and Touka are more loyal to each other than the mafia. THIS is the meaning of tragedy- in running from their monsters, they become true monsters, yet with a single heart.
