Really good story so far, but yet another unfinished one, how disappointing!

Oh, and I'm already caught up, how sad that I now have to wait for an update, but perhaps the next chapter will be up soon...? Hopefully? *puppy dog eyes* Anyway, about this chapter, it's very good to see that the dwarves are indeed keeping their promises to Bard and the townsfolk, I do hope that peace will be established soon. And smart idea to hide the treasure in a boring looking sack, now let's hope they won't lose it... And it's indeed very dangerous to go to Mirkwood, Tauriel could very well be killed. I had not really considered that, but if the three of them are captured it could very well destroy the peace before it could truly begin, because I doubt Thorin would rest with his nephews and heirs locked away by elves. Looks like that might just happen, but it's Legolas to the rescue! Or at least, hopefully he will be on their side... I'll have to wait on the next chapter to see that, I guess.

Time for the next chapter! Poor Tauriel, losing her home... It is indeed true that she and Kíli are on the opposite ends of a scale, with him just reclaiming a home he had never seen and she losing hers after so long. What Kíli said about Elrond and how the dwarves feasted there was amusing, though, and I always like those quiet moments between Kíli and Tauriel.
I really like that Thorin seems to be trying to help Kíli and Tauriel as much as he can, and that he seems to have learned from his mistakes and that he has beaten the dragon sickness. Also, this new mission will undoubtedly prove to be interesting. And very possibly dangerous as well... It might be a good idea to send Balin with them as well, considering that both brothers can be hotheaded and if they need to converse with elves, Balin would probably know the best way to do so. But we'll see what happens.

Woo, okay, so I never read the newest chapters, and it has been years since I read the whole story, so I decided to reread everything and then catch up on these last few chapters. I'm surprised in a good way with how, well, willing Thorin seems to be to help Kíli and Tauriel. It's great, though, and I understand why he would be so accepting and why at the same time he can't really do something about it. It does give me hope for the future :)
Heh, Tilda's reaction was funny, and it seems that the humans are far less judgmental than the dwarves and elves. Sad to see what happened to their town, but you described it very well. I really hope that they will all find their places in the world, and preferably together, of course.
