Hi - I loved this story, it was a joy to read - I could really see the scenes as I read them and think we would all have been sooooo much happier if their relationship had started like this! I went to see what else you had written and found this to be your first - so congratulations on getting off to such a great start. I'm glad I'm not the only one with issues especially regarding the first half of season 6 which I still find really hard to watch. I can see your reasoning that it was Brennan who struggled with her feelings for Booth and "the line" didn't help at all did it? I think Booth has always known how he feels about her but has as many "issues" as she does regarding self confidence - both are very confident in their abilities but the issue is their own self image/worth I think? Booth knows he can't be a dalliance for her - he needs more - but perhaps doesn't know if he is good enough for her she has had several romantic/physical interests in the series, (I really can't forget Booths face when he came into the lab and saw her kissing Sully and then just turned and left) she openly tells him about her "dates" so who could blame him for thinking she doesn't think of him that way? You touched on the reaction of the others at the crime scene; I've read/seen their Jeffersonian colleagues and family finding out about them being in a relationship covered - and sometimes covered very well - but I can't remember seeing any stories that really deal with his colleagues finding out, let alone his superiors (and I'd love to "see" Hacker find out!) I'd also like to read about how Booth told his bosses and Caroline - are you up for a challenge? because after reading your story I think you could really do justice to these topics - please consider it?
