I have lost count of how many times I have reread this fic and yet this never fails to bring me to tears after reading it. It's just soooo good and I will always secretly hope you'll post a sequel wherein Kate and Castle meet for the first time, and now it's no longer a secret. Haha. Love your fics so much! Keep 'em up!

This is truly a gripping story, very well written. It gives everybody lots to think about. By the way, Mr. Fillion was once promoting an interesting project with a similar theme. Go to the tube and try: Nathan Fillion - FACES: A Documentary, which touching statements of a women with a burnt face.
Just one remark on the story: If you wrote this piece partly in canon, Rick would still be a well-known author, and an accident like that would have made it into the papers. That's why I think there is no way he would have given away his daughter's or others' real name to a sex operator. It would be too easy for her to figure out who he is.
You seem to have abandoned to write Castle-Fan fiction alltogether, like so many did after the show jumped the shark with the failed wedding. That is really a shame. I see you point in writing this as a one-shot, and if I still ask you for a continuation, it's for a number of reasons. First, you leave it to the imagination of your readers to continue the story - well, not everybody has the imagination to develop stories (I certainly haven't), and to write a sequel - well, there are not so many good authors on this board, and by the way, stories are read by thousands of people in the entire world who are not native speakers. English is not my first language.
Most of all, this story touches people because it is deeply humane. In the world as it is today, we all are in dire need of that. This is why I'd like to ask you very sincerely to consider writing some more. There is certainly no point in conjuring up some happily-ever-after with a miracle healing and Castle babies, but there is certainly room for two people in love, healing and humanism.
