Fluff this might be, but you have a way with dialogue and descriptions that leave me in awe, and not a little envious. "...yet the longing roiled beneath their separate skins..." - that is wonderful.

This is wonderful and beautifully written. You've managed to tell a great story through what would have otherwise been a simple piece of clothing. Excellent work, thanks for sharing!

Aw, I loved this! I love the idea of Kate appropriating his shirt, keeping it for years until it finds its way back into his (now, their) closet, and him finding it and bringing it to her attention. I also love that she grabs it back from him and holds it to her chest because it is still special to her, and his seeing the look in her eyes and NOT gloating about it. Lovely. So very lovely.
