I love this story! I have definitely seen this idea before, but truthfully I can't always make it through them because sometimes it just doesn't feel like the author has truly captured the characters in the way I see them through the show. And the way you wrote them here feels like it just continues with the show so well. I also love the bits of angst - it makes it all feel real and keeps it from being cheesy. Because one moment my heart will be melting from the cuteness of Hook and the baby to then breaking the next moment at his thoughts of being useless.

Very well done and I hope you continue with it. :)
