about the breeding factors, it would depend. Dragon may be able to breed once per season (Cats breed once every three months i think) instead of once a year. Also, the food supply depends on where you are hunting/fishing, if the island they went to was near a current that fish may have used for migration, it wouldn't be that much of a problem, because food is literally coming to you. and besides, they would have to mate during winter. Eggs take a while to come out of the animal that laid them, and another while to hatch, if you want them to hatch in early spring or late winter they may very well mate during the coldest winter months, so the food is plntyful as the baby is born. (Also Dreamworks needed the whole thing to happen in christmas because it was a christmas story, i'd wager dragons mate in the coldest of winter, lay egg in late winter, nearing spring, and hatchlings come by the time weather is milder. Plus, you had nightfuries coming from another island, if this is the case, their mating season may not match the matin seasons of norway dragons, as they have been in a different ecosystem for three hundred years. i don't know how fast evolution can run, but i suspose that three hundred years would be enough to move mating season a few months backwards or forwards depending on the envoirment the nightfuries took refuge on.

After the first few chapter, I did not want to write a review, but then ... I just have to, so ... here I go.

I dont like "movie rewrites", not because of some good reason, I just dont. Because of that, I can still like some, and this is one of those. The story is warm, nice to read. Nothing too bad happens, nothing is shocking. It is just a nice story.

And now, why I decided to comment: THE GRAMMAR, sweet baby Thor on a thunderdrum, how did you manage to make so many mistakes? I am not native speaker and I still can see SO MANY ERRORS! If you ever get to it, please do something about it.

The conclusion: I have enjoyed reading this story, very much. It is nice, warm, soothing read. You, dear author, have my R.E.S.P.E.C.T. for writing and posting this, even though you are not a native english speaker.

tl;dr Good story, worth reading. If you are a grammar nazi, you are probably going to have a cardiac arrest while reading, so be warned.
