The guy from ZAFT, he plans to cripple the nations of the earth? You are right, occupying Earth would do little to get the peace he wants. But crippling them and using the war to wipe out all the radicals would allow it. For it leaves the nations too weak to resist the PLANTs control. That or let them fall into disarray, ensure ZAFT friendly governments take power while leaving ZAFT the only authority to enforce peace. And the people would allow it for ZAFT responded in defense, it stop radicals from blowing up the earth, and it seems it has the support of the Gundam. He looks like the non-aggressor while appears to know and can cripple every Blue Cosmos, I smell a spy.

Strange: TV has helped contribute to the disconnect, but not news either way. Folks expect the sudden pivot, the twist, the character change. They lose objectivity.

Funny: Probably the sheer mental gymnastics required to claim and believe America is best at what we're proven worst on Earth about.

Interesting: That people adapt to it all. The "new normal" people embrace these days would have had most of the populace *fleeing the country* even during the Reagan Administration.

It took me lik 2 months to caught up to the story from the first one.

heeeyyy, it only took me, what was it, 3 days, 4 days to read this? im surprised you had shin and heine actually capture the gia with stella in it, i wonder what events will transpire back on the ship. i know im literally asking for spoilers here, but i cant help my curiosity, but are you planning to have stella be relieved as the sister to the seed univers's version of heero? (like it was in fallen angel) only because the setup and timing for such an event have been laid out perfectly here. it also gave heero a vary interesting new character dynamic after that point in the story, and i can only imagine how the others would react to such a circumstance. that all said nice chapter, im looking forward to the next one.

That's another Wind of Destruction down, and it sure didn't take long for Major Hamilton to go down either. I can't wait to see how Djibril boils over at this latest setback.

Heero being willing to help the enhanced soldiers even if they were the enemy and not personally knowing any as of yet just shows how much he's changed since arriving in the Cosmic Era. In the battlefield he's still merciless, but outside of it he shows compassion towards those who suffer and can be redeemed. Certainly he's gone through some great character growth. Which bodes well for Stella; it's very likely Terminal will be the one to save her in the end.

Speaking of character growth, Shinn is another who's going through one. Not only he's learned of Rey's past (which will make him start to see ZAFT isn't the benevolent entity he believed it to be), but his earlier reunion with Stella (while she can still be saved) will make him realize what being strong really means. Considering Heero is the one who's giving him all these revelations, maybe he'll be more willing to trust the Gundam pilot in the future.

"Before Lunamaria realized just what she was doing, she quickly leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek". Woah, that was completely unexpected. But finally these two decided to be more open with each other. I wonder what Duo would say if he'd witnessed the whole exchange; if he'd teased Trowa that much just for a simple talk with Meer, I can't imagine what he'd do about Wufei (Wufei would probably want to cut him in half with his sword afterwards LOL). Hope you update it soon!

Really like the scenario you're creating. So many changes from the original story. You've not yet reached this point in the timeline but I really hope you decide to find a way to prevent Meer's death.

Just found this sequel. Loving the interaction of the Boys and Wufei is totes in character. Can't wait for more.

Once again, this chapter was worth the wait. Plus, the songs from the Ace Combat games are a nice touch, plus it gives me ideas for which ones I want to use for my own Gundam Stories. Didn't know you were a weed smoker, but that's your call. I have a feeling that what Shinn does next will result in the appearance of that monster called the Destroy. I still can't believe the Phantom Commander is Azrael's clone. There is only one Clone I love the most and that is CT-7567, Captain Rex of the Clone Army and 501st. Speaking of which, a late May the fourth be with you. Also, I am keeping my fingers crossed that Terminal will finally get some dirt on Unato and tell Shinn the truth about who was really responsible for his families death, though I have a feeling it won't keep Shinn from being angry with Cagalli.

I've been following you for years now ever since I stumble across journey to a new Battlefield Great Piece By the way.
I just have to say great chapter you did an outstanding job way better than the original.
The characters you've added in over the years and the ones that you've had survived and instead of Parish have been excellent upgrades in my opinion.
I know you probably have everything sorted out. I sincerely hope one of the changes you make is Stella surviving.
I hate how things ended for her.
I know they were mirroring Zeta Gundam. And the death of sex the Cyber new-type pilot of psycho Gundam.

Man, a lot happened this chapter. Luna's makin moves on Wufei (finally!), Shinn knows about Rey and le Creuset, several Alliance aces are down, and Stella along with the Gaia are in ZAFT hands. Things seem to be looking up!

Which is why I suspect Gibraltar is where the alliance between the gundam pilots and Minerva will finally fall apart. It's days have been numbered since the beginning, and Durandal would not have a better opportunity to strike first than while they're in the midst of one of ZAFT's most heavily armed fortresses. The only outcome of that battle that's up in the air for me is what Wufei will do; the longer he stays on the Minerva the closer he is to Lunamaria, and the more reason he has to not leave. Really interested to see how that plays out.
