This was very good. I am also of the opinion that she heard him say her name before she saved him. And the mix of adrenaline and stress made her finaly break in front of him in the car and her mind got clearer to see him a little differently. Shame she didn't ask him and yet we already got more with this episode than expected. Well done. Thanks for posting. I hope you'll write some more in this fandom.
