Poor Kenna, having to deal with Antoine and Claudes (!) schemes on her own. Everything she needs right no are love and protection from her husband. If Bash only knew about he true feelings and also about her pregnancy. Sigh!

I am glad and relieved you made Greer find him, because I have hope now, Bash will see reason and return to court (and Kenna). My fingers are still crossed for them - even in the show!

Again I feel pity for both characters, for Kenna and for Bash. Each of them has realized how much she/he is still in love with the other, but at the same time they cannot be sure about how the other his feeling. Or could they, if they simply would listen honestly and carefully to their hearts?
Love your idea of having both of them feeling somewhat near to the other in sleep - Kenna by sleeping on his side and cuddling the pillow and Bash by having sweet dreams about Kenna. This is so adorable!

I will keep my fingers crossed for Leith to find Bash and maybe to be able to talk some sense into him
(which might not be easy I assume). Also I am a little scared because you mentioned Antoine. He is a talented schemer and a very dangerous man.

In any case I am eager to see what you have in store for the continuation.

Very suspenseful. Poor Bash! I feel for Kenna but she really let materialism overpower her over true love. Will they find a happily ever after?!

Poor Kenna, i absolutely feel pity for her. All I want to do right now is to give her a hug and to assure her of Bashs love for her (I am certain of that).
Kenna actually has so many mixed feelings about Bash and his absence. But I think foremost she is desperate, sad and feels utterly lost because she is still in love with him and just wants him to be back at her side. It must be really hard for her to keep up her facade. You wrote her and her emotions very well here and I appreciate the insight you gave about her sorrow and her despair.
This line is my favorite:"Why had she not seen that Bash was not only enough, but everything?"

Unfortunately it seems Antoine is not yet satisfied with the outcome of his scheme, I fear the worst. Maybe Conde can talk some sense into him?
And I hope Bash will find his way back to court and back to Kenna, his wife. I will keep my fingers crossed...

Just wanted to add this:
Loved your lines about Kenna being the Queen of Bashs heart. There are different kinds of being a Queen and being the Queen of ones heart is always the preferable one, as Kenna is realizing right now.
And hopefully he will always be her true and gentle knight (I know he has to work on this part, but he gave a promising start with the dance, did he not ?).

Just like you I have been quite taken with Kenna and Bash when I began watching "Reign". They are such a cute and adorable couple, because they were forced into marriage, but managed not only to come to terms with this, they also have been able at some point to meet each other with an open heart. Both had their experiences and had built fences to protect themselves but just like you said, they have been able to sneak under each others amours and into each others hearts (beautiful line of yours).

But then things started to become difficult for them and Antoines mean scheming finally made them fall apart, although to me they are still very much in love with each other.
And this is what your fic brings out, how things have gone wrong and how Kenna and Bash have been overpowered by this and now they begin to realize what they have to lose (or more worse have already
lost).
I admit over the last few epis my Kennash-universe fell apart and I am glad and relieved to find a story like yours to set things right. I enjoyed the read so far and would be delighted if you were to continue this.
