Would it be possible to make a film,based on the story of a traveller who finds his girlfriend in a foreign country? He knows that the rural people will be happy for them to reunite,after spending so much time apart.

The picture of the couple embracing is quite soulsearching for youngsters grow up fast without being able to control the speed life has moved them can feel like a nasty monster when a new life is brought into the world by a young woman who feels ,there is such a thing as compassion and with a little bit of kindness we can sometimes think that our own life story is worth telling.

Only one word for it: amazing! I think if Will hadn't opened the Pyxis and Ella hadn't died, that would have been how it had been, with Will off studying and Cecily off adventuring, with Ella as the peacemaker, holding all of them together.

Ella is a very intriguing character who hasn't been explored enough... There should be more fics like this in the fandom. :) I especially liked the character development of Ella, and the contrast between her and Cecily even though they are both Herondales.

It's rare on this site that I find stories that make me cry, I always thought the concept of Ella Herondale and her death was really interesting, and I like how this was written. I sorta wish Cassie had written something more in depth about this and I think you did a really good job.

Weirdly, one of my favourite things about this is the picture of the "what if" that it paints of the 3 Herondale kids if they'd grown up together and happy. Will at university, Cecily off on adventures, and Ella holding them all together. She'd be the one who hosted Christmas dinner each year and each time it came down to some disaster, it would be Ella who held it all together.

This is what Will needed when he met Jem. He needed someone to hold it all together when he couldn't because that was never his job, it was Ella's job.

And she drifted off to sleep a hero. She just never got to wake up as one. :( Poor Ella.

Way to make me care A LOT about a plot device side character. Jeeze.
