Hm, eating ghouls does make a ghoul stronger though it would be at the cost of one's sanity. Jason's insanity was partially due to the fact that he does eat other ghouls to get stronger. If Hide's grandfather ate only ghouls then he had to of gone insane sadly. Pretty much Hide is a half human and so is his father just like the CCG's "Reaper".

Just saying Hide didn't know that kaneki was a ghoul until Nishiri attacked them and he saw Kaneki fighting Nishiri, Kaneki didn't see hide watching them fight because he thought hide was unconscious. Because how would hide know about Kaneki being a half ghoul from the very start? He just doesn't have the information to piece the facts together

Okay, I got most of your explanation about the science your using. But what are Washuu or whatever they are? Is it from Tokyo Ghoul or something else. all in all great story. Look forward to reading more.
