This is what happens with a liberal writer. They are great at capturing emotions but that's all they are good at. When it comes to logic and sequence they suck and leave a lot of holes. CS Lewis and Tolkien are both professed Christians (though modern history probably waters it down and gives a BS version) they were both colleagues and friends so did friendly competitions to see who could come up with a more believable world.

They did actual research and mixed it in with their fantasy worlds so it's a lot less holes. Not to say there isn't any but it feels more solid as a whole.

Harry is WAY to passive aggressive. Not NOT healthy. Worse then actually any of my other suggestions which would actually relive stress even if temporary as he would be doing something about it instead of just fuming.

Harry should use his magic do some kind of stupid dance then sneak out the exit stage left as everyone is entrance with the magical display. :)

One thing he could do is go to where they store the locomotive of the Hogwarts Express and break the locks do the switch points to point them the correct way out. Then fire up the locomotive and if there are any cars uncouple them for faster start up speed.

It's actually not that hard to drive a steam train once you figure out the *sweet spot* of balancing out steam regulation and fire.

I bet the fire is stoked magically so all Harry would need to do is regulate the steam with the throttle...I mean steam regulator. :)

Then he can essentially take the train all the way to Kings Cross OR stop the engine between stations to get off so he won't be picked up by the Ministry which would undoubtfully staff extra security to watch for the stolen engine approaching any and all stops along the way.

Look up the short film Dad just showed me One Minute Time Machine. It's sorta like the Omega 13 from Galaxy Quest if you've ever watched that but the Omega thing is a huge device and only goes back in time 13 seconds.

This baby looks like a box with little lights on it an d a red button which you go back 1 minute.

If HARRY had that device he would be able to push it and go back just before the class read the newspaper in the greathall and slink out of sight before the shit hits the fan.

What happens in the reality that Harry left? Well watch the short 5 minute film on youtube and find out what happens in the reality the guy left each time he pushed that button!

One would think that by now Harry would've ran away by hot wiring a neighbor's car in the middle of the night.

He could punch the steering thingy with a screw driver *borrowed* from Uncle Vernon's tool shed or even hot wire the Dursley's own car the crappy one that nobody really uses much.

Idk if I've left a review on this before but I love this story. It's so good. It really is. I love the whole hurt and comfort shit. I hope one day you'll revisit this. It truly is an excellent story.

A novel concept in this fandom. How or why you persist on good Albus I cannot fathom, though, so I will just have to bear it. Bad Ministry is normal, but so is bad Albus. He did not have the right not to know.
