I'm really looking forward to seeing what other ideas you have, because this one was awesome. The whole Obito showing up thing was pretty confusing to me (though I suppose it's just another continuity error, not like the anime makers knew about Tobito back then, I guess) but this is a really cool idea. I can't really see any big difference in canon, not until the Fourth Shinobi War, I'm guessing.

I would love to see the Obito - Naruto confrontation given this divergence in mind, since I've always felt a bit 'ehh' about the fact that all Naruto and his team knew about Obito the rest of Team Minato was "Kakashi's friend who died except not really." I feel like there would have been much more emotional impact if they knew about just how seriously Obito his death impacted Kakashi. It would have given Naruto a much more personal and understandable reason for being the one to convince Obito back onto the side of good.

(...if you want to write that and skip all the boring 'oh yeah Team 7 gets helped out a bit' parts, i'm definitely not complaining)
