I remember this story and enjoyed reading it for a second time here. As a H/C fan, this was definite treat for me and I'm hoping you'll write another in this genre someday - maybe one focusing on Danny getting hurt LOL
The shoot out scene was very suspenseful and Danny's guilt and self-blame was in character of him. All in all, a nicely executed one-shot.

An ordinary object becomes extraordinary in the saving of a life! I do remember that yellow shirt and this is a plausible and dramatic explanation as to why it disappeared. Good job and a perfect response to the challenge. Thanks for posting it here!
