I'll review this better when I can't put into words how great this was, but for the moment I'm too busy sobbing.
wow, just wow!

I'm not quite sure how it is that I've never reviewed this (I blame my low attention span) because it's just amazing. It's all so bittersweet, but in a good way. I love the idea of him hallucinating on drugs. I really though about that aspect of his hospital stay. But it does make a lot of sense. I really don't know why, but the part about Johnny having the best barbecue sandwich at Dairy Queen made me smile because it just sounds like something Johnny would say. But it was also pretty sad. I just love how the Civil War soldiers gave Johnny there approval. I love that even in death Johnny was still able to be a hero to others. It's just so great because that's all he's ever wanted. It's just so sad that he had to die for it to happen. Great job as always.

I'm not religious, but this was a good story.

I loved this. I especially liked the fact that Johnny could see the civil war soldiers like he was one of them, because I suppose he was in the end. This was simply amazing.
