Honestly, I would never take this kind of shit from Haibara, personally. If she's gonna act like a nosey bitch, Shinichi should just be like "my life and personal matters have nothing to do with you and you can just stay out of it." Because honestly, she thinks that just because she knows his big secret it gives her the right to interfere with everything and get all involved? Unless it's something that directly threatens to expose her own identity, I'd shay she doesn't get to have an opinion in what Shinichi does.

Then again, I'm well known among my friends for being the person who when someone, a teacher or a parent or anyone really, tries to intimidate me, if I don't agree with them I will stare right back at them in defiance, no matter what authority they had. Mostly with teachers: I had this one "scary" teacher... Actually two teachers... That no one ever argued with because they sounded all authoritarian and would glare and level people with certain looks, but if I didn't agree with them I would always hold my ground and people thought I was crazy for it. At the end of the day, I never got in trouble because people like that are all talk and don't know how to handle someone who refuses to be intimidated, who's as intelligent and well-respected as I am, and who will fight back. I'd always go home feeling like a bad-ass. B)

I always thought it was stupid how people let stares and glares intimidate them. I'm all "if you want me to be submissive, you better be holding at LEAST a baseball bat, if not a gun! If all you've got is 'a look' you're pathetic." Haha. Am I the only one who thinks this? Maybe, I don't know. XD

Great story so far, by the way. Love your Shinichi-view portrayal of Kaito.

Oh God, Kai and Shin-chan really killing each other like this ... But, it's great how you show and explain their way to respond to their feeling for each other, and how their own choiced killing themselves, madelita-san. It's a constant heart clenching moments from one chapter to another. So, the description of Conan's feeling that he is tired, is really understandable TT-TT I hope they have a time to just sit and talk patiently and honestly, then discuss the consequences of their feeling together. But, of course that's easy to said, difficult to be done ... I can't even imagine how the whole situation hurt Kaito ...

But, the last part make me curious :D
