I'm normally terrible about commenting but I had to, this fic was amazing, I started and read it straight through (I have work tomorrow and should have gone to bed over an hour ago but I had to finish lol). I loved the ups and downs in the fic, and I especially mention this because sometimes a story will have ups and downs so often that I can't continue, but the points in this story all felt needed and flowed so well that it really worked for me. Just how they handled the situation was really nice, especially since Dean still showed trauma and everything felt very real (if you know we lived in a fantasy world).

Anyway characters where great, the family dynamics where great, the costumes and the never seeing each others faces was great, and the end resolution was wonderful as well.

And the letters! I normally hate letters in writing but yours were adorable/awesome and I loved how Deans character used them to express what he couldn't say.

Loved this story and thank you so much for writing it and sharing it.

Oh and sidenote Inias became my random/sudden favorite character for his lines about not being attracted to anyone - I'm Ace myself so when I read that, there may have been gleeful celebrating and fist pumps, its so rare to see Ace characters, so thank you for putting that in there. Plus the way he said it and his whole role in that scene was hilarious.

I am going to write a full review when I have finished the book, but this chapter was so masterful I had to comment. The dirt/sands/burial conversation so perfectly captures Austen's style and what must have been the way of speaking then: all respectful surface text and eviscerating subtext. And then Ozymandias on top of it! I can't believe you didn't plan it. I think your subconscious must have planned it all out without letting you know. This story brings me so much pleasure!

This was by far one of the very best fanfictions I have ever read! I read it whenever I was free and it was something to look forward to every day. I love the build up of the relationships, and I'm so glad they all got a happy ending. I love the supportive family Dean has and all the other couples are beautiful. You are an astounding writer!

I absolutely loved this story and it is definitely my favorite fanfic I've read so far and probably one of the most well written ones. It's hard to put into words how much I enjoyed reading it and I look forward to reading more of your work and I wish you luck in the future in your writing.

I do not normally review stories. But I feel that to not to in this case would be a crime. This story was so in depth and captivating it by far surpasses any fanfiction I have read before. It took me three days to read it but it was worth it. Simply beautiful.

I wish I could say how much I really loved this story, I was put off by the era, as I'm quite stuck in the genre that I know I like. Afraid I would find the writing style and language hard to follow. However this was so beautifully written, I loved every single moment. You had me gripped from the get go, the storyline was brilliant and even though the end wasn't the best scenario, it was the best they could hope for that time. It was lovely to read destiel set in the uk, as that is where I live.

When reading Castiel's letter to Dean, describing their casual romance being accepted, as if it wasn't scandalous, I cheered. But when he wrote, "I think it perhaps the cruelest nightmare I've ever had"
My. Heart. Broke. I audibly cringed. I swear, if this does not end happily I will sue you for emotional distress! XD

I didn't quite get just how much money Dean spent on that necklace... wow... Thank you for taking the time to map that out for us simple, lazy folk. :) This story makes me wish my vocabulary was a bit more out dated, to say the least. :) Sometimes old words are the best.

Your exercise in haste was my exercise in patience, and let me tell ya, it was difficult to ignore the emails announcing each posted chapter. But, good things come to those who wait, and this story was quite good indeed!

That said, it was also a challenge to read sometimes. Not because of any fault in the writing. The writing was excellent! It’s just that I find bullying and public humiliation deeply objectionable and it’s terribly sad when people feel they have no choice in the way (or with whom) they live.
So, in spite of all the loyal friendship, joyful affection, and steamy smut (extra points for Dean making his own phallus!), it was hard to read the suffering and abuse, which was of course the point. It made the happy ending all the happier.

The way you wrangled such a large cast of characters was impressive. Charlie and Jo were especially well-rounded and I found myself wanting to know more about their back-story. I’m glad that you’re thinking of telling part of the story from their POV. I think it would be an excellent read!
For a while, I suspected Claire of being a mole for Adam and was pleased when she turned out to be a good kid. Nice touch, that. And HOORAY for Mr. Freeley! I grinned each time Balthazar was mentioned. Gabriel was, as always, a delight!

Overall, it was a superior piece of storytelling and unlike any SPN fic I’ve ever read. You captured the era well and remain at the top of my list of favorite authors. Keep up the excellent work! Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
