Reviews for Tale As Old As Time
BeansEtc chapter 1 . 3/7/2017
What a unique fic idea! This was such an interesting read - believable, moving, and well-written to boot. In the hands of a different writer a concept like this could have come off jarring and goofy, but you made it work. Props!
Guest chapter 1 . 12/13/2016
The 2nd person writing style was done masterfully.
MySarcasticGreenCrayon chapter 1 . 10/29/2016
I really loved this and found it quite amazing!
The Green Archer chapter 1 . 8/31/2016
I really enjoyed reading this (But then I'm fascinated by reincarnation stories in general, so no surprises there). Your poetic prose makes it flow so well too! It would be neat if you could expand the cycles into some of the more contemporary B&B retellings (Alex Flinn's Beastly or the Beauty and the Beast TV Series for instance), but as a whole, this is a really neat concept and I thank you for sharing it with us.
Hathor-Aroha chapter 1 . 8/5/2015
This was very captivating and I LOVE how you skillfully used the 2nd person POV in a way that it never felt out of place or jarred me out of the story. You wove a magical tapestry from beginning to end, flawlessly intertwining all the different versions (which I recognised!) of "Beauty and the Beast". I also like how you altered the movie as well, which adds a little touch of originality as well, and yet still fits all the same.

Thank you for this gorgeous story. Make no mistake, it is going into my faves!
Dawn on fire chapter 1 . 5/18/2015
I love how you managed to tie so many beauty and the beast adaptations together without giving any major spoilers.
So-crates Johnson chapter 1 . 5/11/2015
I loved this! It was so creative and well-written - I can't believe you wrote this in an hour! I really like how you connected all of the different versions of the story. I'm not familiar with some of them, but now it kind of makes me want to go look them up.
Over the Winter Wall chapter 1 . 5/10/2015
I absolutely loved this!
I loved all of the different combinations of the retellings you have, and how you added them all together in a 'realm-ish/dimension-y' way (whatever you'd call it) is ecstatic and so creative!
I noticed a couple of errors, but ones you really have to hunt and peck. I suggest reading through just once or twice. :)
Also, I'm so glad they kissed at the end! I've always thought that would have been a better ending to the Disney version. :)
The theme is great, too: That no matter how many changes love goes through over the years, it is still there and is still love. Great job!
Maybe you should add the Once Upon A Time version in here. ;) Just a suggestion, if you've seen it.
