| Eslssl chapter 1 . 4/2/2016 This is at least the fourth or fifth time I have read this story since it was posted early May 2015 (this review is early April 2016). This is one of those feel good stories that keeps drawing you back, giving readers the hope we have in our hearts for Kate and Rick. Providing the romance and love we want them to have and to share openly with one another. The fact that it is both fluffy and funny (underline emphasis on "and") makes this even more enjoyable. My humble suggestion, maybe more of a request, would be for this writer to create a series of stories like this one from each tv episode (seasons 1-4 at least) and "modify" it in this same manner so that we get a collection of "Moments They Became Caskett". Given this writer's creative artistry, I believe this would be a fun project to undertake (perhaps readers could suggest plots or prompts) and I KNOW (emphasis intended) this would be popular with readers. I loved the use of language here, right from "unappealing act of sartorial contrition," to the decidedly purplish cast to the prose ("gloaming" and "purloined") which suits Castle's mode here precisely. I also liked the motif of the string of pearls - a Glenn Miller reference? Would suit the mood. "Calling Botticelli" - and I smile again. (Trumpets? Harps? And just where are the violins, huh? the violinist in me protests ;) )Thank goodness for the tweet that inspired you. |
