Great story. You did a terrific job capturing Tony’s feelings, which is something the tv show rarely addressed.

I read a LOT of Tony D. fanfic. I enjoy all of it. But every once in a while I come across exceptionally written stories; sometimes one-shots, often times multi-chaptered. It was a pleasure to read thisthe characters were spot on, and not a word wasted. Thank you for taking the time to write and post this lovely piece.

This was nice. A true break down with DiNozzo questioning himself, angry, and debating leaving. Gibbs was also masterfully done. A real easy flow and a not so bad blend of details.

I thank you for the nice read. If there was one thing I disliked was probably Zoe. I can't stand Zoe. There is just no real chemestry between her and Tony. The relationship feels forced, and sort of... hinky. I don't know what it is but.. she doesn't work for Tony. And I'm not saying this because I'm a shipper of some other pair (Nope, I'm actually one who prefers single Tony, fluff and maybe a pair or two.. but primarly single Tony.). I just don't feel it for them. I can completely understand why thefans don't care for her (lets hope the writers realize this, and splits them somehow.)

But apart from that, I have no other dislikes for this story. Nicely done.

This was absolutely amazing. Everyone has a breaking point, and I think you did a wonderful job showing how Tony handled his. Very realistic, and I think you did a great job keeping everyone in character. Highlights for me were Gibbs support and understanding, and his worry that Tony might not get over it; Ziva's text made me smile and want to cry at the same time; and Bishop's talk with Tony was perfect. I loved this story.

Well written, tough subject matter handled well.

I really enjoyed this story. The characters were all thoughtfully drawn and in-character.
"Because while getting his agent back was important, getting Tony back on his feet was more important."
I loved Gibbs thinking this, and the fact that he could see Tony beneath the usual mask and deflections, and wanted the man, not just the agent, to be okay, even if that meant losing his SFA.
I also enjoyed what Bishop told Tony, and how she sees the real Tony, much like Gibbs does, and feels he's someone worth saving as well as emulating. This is a quality I see with the Tony/Bishop dynamic on the show as well. I liked the team, and Vance, supporting Tony, and treating his traumatic reaction to losing Adam with the seriousness it demanded.
And above all, I loved the realistic way that you explored how Adam's death tore at Tony's core, and the toll law enforcement can take with someone who has a good soul.
I hope you write more fics in this universe. I really enjoy the way you write the characters, especially Tony and Gibbs. Thanks.

Your touch with Tony and this entire story and all the emotions and love that came with it were delightfully on target.
