Reviews for America
mad 4 the doctor chapter 8 . 6/17
I like how youve got the nations not hurting non nations esp. as they would esentially be attacking part of them selves like they've collectivly decided only to attack each other and not the people which explains why in axis powers its as if they are always doing their own thing that mirrors the war instead of activley fighting in battles. surely only fighting eachother would have considerabley less damage than fighting their people a magic quasi-immortal teleporting superstrong nation against an army is going to win, so of course they just deal with eachother nations as they can easily handle each other. here everyone is KAC and the liasion bureau are all paranoid about protecting the manifestation of their nation but truthfully if they were left to their own devices they'd easily handel anything themselves and just be the equivalent an international village occasionally popping next door to irritate or play with someone else and occasionally cause destruction but its okay because they can fix it quickly.

This is such a fun story. I hope you update soon.

Also to everyone being incredibly harsh on spelling, chill the fuck out.
Guest chapter 7 . 10/15/2018
I can tell this story was typed in a rushed state. Sooo many misspellings and punctuation errors, it hurts my soul.
Guest chapter 3 . 10/14/2018
Child, edit your work.

Actually, hell what is even the point of reviewing anymore when you've clearly dropped this fic?
Guest chapter 1 . 10/14/2018
I hate this. This has swear words in it. It's bad to swear so it would be really really great if you stopped using swear words in your storys because I like your story, it is cool.
Mcxynth chapter 8 . 7/29/2018
This story is getting exciting! And I'm especially glad England finally made an appearance (fave character, hehe). I'm looking forward to more!

fakescorpion chapter 8 . 2/24/2018
I absolutely LOVE that you introduced the idea that nations ability are inconsistent in the first chapter. I've always had a similar headcanon, since "inconsistent teleportation" is the only way to explain why England had to spend months traveling to America by ships while Italy on one occasion drove from Europe to Japan in less than an hour. or the fact that sometimes nations could walk to their neighbors house in a different country in a few minutes, yet have to drive to the place holding World Meetings within the same city (this example being Germany and Austria). I'm just so happy to find a fic that explored this aspect of nation personifications oddity. So thank you for writing this!

I could feel Mark and Fury's pain dealing with America's childish antics, but they really should consider themselves lucky that they at least work in the age where the majority of the nations have already grown to physically adult.

Speaking of Fury, due to his job, it is expected that he would try to analyze nation personifications from the metahuman angle. And that really got me thinking. In a world where beings with extraordinary abilities are plentiful, what then makes nation personifications different from metahumans? Because they are DEFINITELY different and cannot be grouped together, but the lines could be blurry and not easily defined at times. Pretty interesting to think about. Not sure how far down the mcu timeline this story is going to go, but if it continues on to cover the plot of AoU and CACW then the lines would need to be drawn. (Sokovia's land was destroyed, people scattered and evacuated, and economy completely crashed. The situation is pretty precarious it is debatable whether Sokovia was still alive. Judging from googled information, I estimate that Sokovia was founded in the early 19th century, meaning they were a kid by country standards and their physical age was probably around 14-15 or younger. No wonder so many countries are not happy about it.

And before that, Winter Soldier is also a delicate topic, since Russia is probably aware of the situation whether he admits to it or not. I like that there is already some hints of Blue-and-Orange-Morality going on. Most obvious in chapter four, where Russia still left Nat the choice to proceed with her assassination plan or not. Respect for human free will is something much appreciated, whether for good or for bad. And I've always believed that while nation personifications could provide limited guidance, they are not the end solution that could solve all human problems. (people could learn from history, but the future is still in the hands of the people.)

This last part I added because there was a comment on ao3 left by another reader about "countries helping Steve get Bucky back and prevent Steve and Tony fight etc." that bothered me a little. because while America has reasons to get Bucky back under his wings, as Bucky was originally one of HIS that were stolen from him, there is still a HUGE difference between getting Bucky back under accounted American citizenship and the more idealized "Steve gets Bucky no questions asked" fandom version. Nation personifications could not be equated with metahumans after all, likewise countries should not be defined by such human terms as "good samaritans with superpowers" and their moral values would logically be quite different from human norm. Not to mention the fact that it isn't appropriate to expect America to choose a side between Steve and Tony. He's not human, he didn't choose a side in the American Civil War so why would he in the much smaller scaled Avenger Civil War?

Sorry for this huge wall of text, I always tend to get carried away writing reviews. Hope you have a great day and I can't wait for the next chapter!
SiZodiac chapter 4 . 2/20/2018
This whole story is great, but my current favorite chapters are ch3 and ch4. I just love the world building so much and can't wait to see the direction this story is going! and a hetalia story that so prefectly balanced seriousness and silliness is VERY hard to find, doubly so for longer pieces. Senior KGB(?) officers going "maybe he will lose interest" had me lol
SiZodiac chapter 5 . 2/20/2018
Alfred is so nonchalant about being held captive, understandable considering to REALLY hold a nation prisoner, you need something like the Iron Curtain. a human cell is just not going to work lol
