Oh my gods you are evil! I feel so bad for Jim! I can't imagine things getting worse at this point but with you as a writer all bets are off. Your story makes me very sad. It's well written, but I start to cry on every chapter, telling myself every time that I won't be reading the next one.
But I want to know how it ends and read every chapter.
Even if you say it's about Spock and Kirk's relationship ... In my view, the two are through.
Jim said he forgave Spock, but the truth is, he just wanted to forgot about him. Forgiveness can give Spock the ability to make amends. I know forgiveness is hard and the trust is gone, but Jim didn't forgive Spock in my eyes. He has replaced him.
Harrison has become Jim's lover and he was happy. Would Harrison have been normal, Jim would have never left him. He would never let Spock around him.
For me, Saavik is also a character in this story, which shows that Jim is through with Spock. He is replaced in every way. Spock doesn't stand a chance. Sure, they remember happier times and become nostalgic, but that is all.
I don't know if or how you want to write a happy ending. I have to say my opinion. I don't know how you will wrote it, but as a reader you also have a lively imagination, especially after Cliffhangers.
If you orientate yourself on the film, I find the scene where Jim dies, and Spock and Khan fight absolutely inappropriate.
Jim is so far driven right now that he'd be more likely to despair if you brought him back from the dead. And the final fight. Should this be Spock's emotional proof of his love? He's beating up Khan? ... I do not know.
It all sounded very, very negative from me now, but I don't mean that. In any case, you can pat yourself on the shoulder, as you are definitely moving one of your readers emotionally.
I wish the chapters would be published faster so I finally know how it ends. I wish so much for a happy ending. I just don't see it at the moment.
Please don't leave the story unfinished.

AAAH! I hate/love your cliffhangers! I really want to know what Khan is going to do and if it will be any different than the canon. Hope you write the next chapter up quickly so I can know what happens next!

I love the interesting dynamic with Jim and Khan, way more interesting than the movie. Poor Jim, can never catch a break and now we know what Marcus was planning with the videos.

Very very skilled reinterpretation of the film.
For the very first time reading ST fanfic, I really think Spock needs some kholinahr schooling with the masters at Ghol. He is irrational to the extreme, picking on small things such as titles while ignoring so many facts that are becoming visibly connected. And Khan is correct - he’s been fairly useless at protecting Kirk because his emotions are obstructing him.
Kirk too is so focused on his past sex with Harrison he’s seeing, and commenting on, it in professional situations such as chiding McCoy rather than keeping his mind firmly on the job.
I do hope you continue this - Saavik has yet to show her motives plus I do want to see what you do with Marcus. The film gave him far too an easy out.

Omg its so amazing! Please update:) i know its miar be hard to find time but Please Please Please... and dont leave Spok and Jim to hurt so much for longer. Let the green blood hobgoblin explain soulmates for Vulcan! But that's just my whining. Still please continue:) I love it!
