I love what you have written thus far. The overall pace does not bother me at all.

This story is developing with a seemingly 'natural' quality; allowing time (which is ironic for one particular character in question) for each individual character to grow up based on their own natural biorhythm/pace, without being rushed/pressured, spiritually, emotionally, and physically, to further develop 'natural' feelings, 'real' emotions, the plot and subplots, in tandem and in conjunction, within the context of your story.

You are doing a great job keeping the characters 'in character' and this story is definitely an interesting Alternate Universe, keeping true to each of the characters individual 'passion' of and for the sport which is tennis.

This is worth the investment.
