Intresting fic but one of the main things I liked about the naruto series in genral is that it acknowledges the hipocoracy of the shinobi world and it sorta seemed like to me you were glorifing the shinobi wars. The first chapter especially as I would like to think that someone like the third hokage would see that the life of one man and pride is not worth the bloodshed a war would bring about on both sides only adding to the metaphorical cycle of hatred in the naruto universe that masashi kishimoto shows in the anime and the whole concept was what really made the pain arc so appealing to me.
(anyways sorry 'bout the rant i accutually kind of enjoyed the fic.)

Another good chapter. It really builds the suspense. I can see why canon didn't go this way. It doesn't teach the right 'lessons' about war. Maybe it doesn't advance the heroes plotline, but, it's fun to watch an epic beat-down of an arrogant ass, though.

That was one of the better Shinobi battles I've seen written for Naruto. You have a good concept, and it seems like an accurate depiction of the politics and events of that time period.

ahh! forgot this classic fic isnt finished... but great while it lasted i suppose. thanks for what we do have.

Hiruzen definitely deserved his title. He might not be as strong or varied as Hashirama but he is definitely "The Professor". He doesnt have triump cards like Kurama or Senjutsu or Yin seal but his ninjutsu is very strong. During the Forth Shinobi War, he made four clones and made a stream of each element to fight with their respective element against the FUCKING JUUBI. He is very very good. He has mastery over all the elements and he battled a weakened First and Second Hokage and Orochimaru at the same time. Good tactics and willingness to sacrifice himself. Makes me wonder why he doesnt teach the Death Reaper Seal to people he considers has unconditional loyalty to him. The death reaper seal uses mental fortitude and anyone can use it aside from and initial chakra requirements. Its a very dangerous but useful technique. A chunin can ķill the Raikage if possible. Or save loads of people.

I hope you continue this story. There aren't enough story's that showcase war in a more accurate manner.
