All the characters are just too flat and there doesn’t seem to be any depth to this story. On top of that your Gohan is only Gohan in might as well be a OC especially since you immediately nerfed him. That’s just lazy story telling. It sucks cause this looked like it had some promise

Interesting concept, but not for me.
I was able to ignore the flimsy reasoning of not being able to use the Dragonballs, but Gohan could've gone to Namek, instead. The villagers always gather the Dragonballs, so the positioning argument is moot. However, like I said, I was able to ignore that.

What I'm not able to ignore, on the other hand, is how Gohan got hurt in the ship and how he was damaged in the fight against Dodoria, an opponent far weaker than he is, at this point in time.

Gohan has been weakened for no other reason than the fact you need to move the plot along. This is bad writing.

I honestly tried to ignore it, but then you had Gohan talking about power levels like he was the official guidebook. Power levels in terms of numbers are things only members of the Frieza Force talk about.

I'll draw the line here. It was all right until chapter 3.

People seem awful quick to just accept "time travel" as an explanation. Kami, I understand. He's a God/Guardian of Earth. Random Saiyan meatheads? Not so much.

The counter to "stepping on a butterfly might send history spiraling off course" is that 1) It's entirely possible Gohan has already gone back in time and used the Dragonballs 2) It's also possible that Gohan will just be replacing somebody else's wish 3) The Namekian Dragon Balls should be fine to use, as Freeza's actions are not based on the Namekian Dragonballs at all, only that he heard they existed. So he should be able to use them with no issue.
