| XxWhiteWeddingBootsxX chapter 2 . 6/21/2015 It's rare for a young person to write a character with PTSD. And as a person who has had PTSD for her entire life, I figure I might add a few things. Loud noises are one thing that scares people with PTSD but people touching us is something that is a big no no. Also I don't know if you're going to go the realistic route with this or not with her having flashbacks but if you are you need to put a trigger warning on it because someone who reads this with PTSD might have an adverse reaction. This story doesn't bother me as much because I'm used to reading triggers, but other people might send you flames because it brings back our own flashbacks. Just be extra careful about how much detail you go into with this. It's a touchy subject. |
