Also, I like the fact that you interpret him anew for almost every story you write. It adds something fresh, and shows that you try to actually make them rounded characters instead of flat copies of their anime/manga selves.

This is starting to mirror my life in odd ways...

I was about to say that this AU is probably preferable to their usual world of interplanetary war and lots of misery and pain, but I'm beginning to think Inaho would still take quite a lot of time choosing when presented with the choice.
Relative safety... but living with Slaine (whose name my tablet always auto-corrects to Elaine)... having no greater invasions than fruit bats... but having an author who should really look up the definition of platonic...

Random factoid that really has not much to do with this chapter, just thought it might be amusing.
I was totally irritated at first when Slaine referred to Inaho as "orange". I have no idea what HAPPENED with the translations, but in the mangas I read (in Germany) his nickname was "Muellmann", which means as much as "garbage man". Maybe because of the orange uniforms?! So weird. I much prefer "orange" as a name, though "Fledermaus" (bat) does have something...
Anyway, looking forward to more awkward, semi-romantic interactions.

These platonic stories are just the thing to read when staying at home with a cold.
While Slaine is my absolute favourite character 3 and I kinda like him together with Inaho, I'm already way too hot and bothered by the fever to survive actual pairing stuff, so this is a blessing. Thoroughly enjoyable, as always.
(Poor Inaho, though. Haven't you tortured him enough in your other stories? Injury, PTSD, emotional turmoil, and now... more SLAINE! *shudder*)

This is superb. I honestly wasn't exspecting much but this is one of the most genuinely heartwarming pieces of literature I've ever read. It would please me greatly if you were to provide continuation for this story.

Omg I love this! This latest chapter had me laughing at Slaine's baking challenges, especially the "mysterious egg witchcraft" part :)

I do love reading about Slaine's life at home, which you also did an amazing job with in Homeward and Shattered Chains, but I wonder if you'd reverse the roles sometime? It would be hard to keep Inaho at home all day in canon but considering that this story isn't canon I'd love to read what you come up with!
