Reviews for The Queen's Mother
Syulai chapter 5 . 11/15/2019
Oh, I’m sorry I didn’t find this story around! Oh poor Ikuko, it’s so hard to read this as there’s nothing more painful to suddenly lose your own child like this. With no inkling of what’s going on. You have written it beautifully, covering all the details that might hv been conveniently forgotten in the bigger scheme of things in cannon.
pizzigri chapter 1 . 12/20/2017
Love it.
I think that Ikuko’s reaction to the situation is spot on. A mother would do just that; never give up. Sure, being in front of the dead body of her daughter could convince her to let it go... but Zoi ( suppose it’s him) just fucked up. No, I instead think that Ikuko is MY favorite person. She has a RIGHT to know what happened to her daughter. I am a father, of two, one kid and a girl. I can relate. In this AR version of Sailor Moon, the main characters are callous, sadistic and cruel. I mean, the whole reason the Senshi kept their secret from relatives in canon was to protect them... here, they want to protect themselves, at the expense of their relatives grief and despair. This is the very embodiment of what Sailor Moon never stood for: “the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few”. Saturn should be ashamed, as she is obviously alive only because of Usagi’s belief that everyone must be saved. Instead, we see the Senshi sacrifice the wellbeing of their family, tortuing them with the unknown fate of their loved ones, even threatening them into submission ... for the Greater Good. Wow. And what about of Sammy. Hateful. Despicable. Sure, there’s justification, what we see in Chapter 3. There’s always justification... the Gods are a bit of a Deus ex Machina, literally- another justification to the behavior, a Higher Will.
I love it. Please write more, and do not allow this much time to pass between chapters.
Flareup4Ratchet chapter 5 . 12/20/2017
I can understand why Ikuko is acting the way she is - she is a mother and a human being, but at this point, she is not my favorite person. In my opinion, she should just give up, but we know she won't until it is too late. She just doesn't listen. Ikuko is going to cause more trouble and it will not turn out well for her (or at least I don't think it will).

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (in case your next update isn't until after both have passed).
Jarjaxle chapter 5 . 12/19/2017

Great chapter! College is more important. Update when you have time as long as you don't fully give up on this story. I really like it.

Amen chapter 1 . 8/17/2015
Actually motherhood is pure selfishness.
Bringing a child into this horrible world to live a very short life is cruel.
Adoption is what an unselfish person would do instead.
Maritza chapter 2 . 8/8/2015
Very interesting story. We never really saw the reactions of Serenas family to the new era. Looking forward to the next chapter.
NikkiBC chapter 2 . 8/8/2015

garnetroses chapter 2 . 8/7/2015
Loving it so far. Ikuko and her family's perspective doesn't seem like it's been explored a lot and that's what makes this so enjoyable.
