Wow...I am definitely in awe of just how amazing this was! Especially how the War Doctor carefully peeled back the layers of Palpatine's deception onion for Anakin (and the readers, to a lesser extent ;D) but didn't just pontificate about how stupid everyone had been in missing all the signs of Palpatine being the mysterious Sith Lord...he asked questions and pointed out inconsistencies but assumed Anakin could catch his meaning.

And Palpatine getting executed with a single blaster shot? Ironically perfect, as the War Doctor treated him like the enemy combatant he was: a unrepentant threat but one who is not worth really sullying yourself for since that would give Palpatine the final victory.

This is great. My only regret is that the Doctor didn't bring up the fact that there were several Force-user Sects in the galaxy that married and had children regularly without falling prey to the Dark Side. Hell, the Green Jedi do it regularly, not to mention the Lost Jedi who disbanded from the Order in order to marry and have children.

That would have been aimed at Mace btw, if you couldn't have guessed it. But that is literally my only complaint about this oneshot, its perfectly in character for the War Doctor and everyone else.

always hated the Yasalamari not in the ability but that its so freakin FINAL in its application a force user cant resist, as near as I can see it have to be a force sensitive creature to CREATE IT and a natural thing so the general pratical thing just UNDER IT but... so much just...

I love how you captured all four characters personalities accurately although I haven't read that much about the War Doctor's personality. I especially love how the War Doctor wasn't afraid to point out the cold hard truth to Anakin about everything including his relationship with Palpatine and his dreams of Padme. I also love how you portrayed Mace Windu (a lot of fanfics tend to bash him) as both a Jedi and a human being, he's not perfect but he's a good man whose experienced a hard life and whose had to lead a war he never wanted and who found out that the loss of every Jedi he's had under his command from Geonosis to the Attempted Arrest died for nothing but he'd be dammed if he'd lose another one to the Sith right in front of him. The novel Shatterpoint really delved into his character his loss of his student to the darkside and his perceived failure of ended the Clone War at the beginning because he was unable to bring himself to murder his one time friend Dooku.

If only this happened in canon...

Excellent story! I never read a Star Wars/Dr. Who crossover before, and it's too bad the RotS movie never ended like this one-shot, well done.
