I feel as if every time I have hope that something will diverge from canon, it doesn't. Zach survives, but he leaves town and is never seen again so he has as much effect on the plot as being dead. Anna leaves town, except Logan is still turned, and Aria ends up quoting Anna's dialogue at Jeremy. Damon knows Stefan aims to spike Aria with vervain, except he knowingly accepts to fall for the trap.

Every single thing that goes differently from canon has no effect on the plot because things still go exactly like in canon. Hell, I bet the tomb will be opened even though Damon is dating Aria, should be over Katherine, and KNOWS Katherine is not in the tomb.

So you decided to let Zach live... except he's leaving town anyway due to compulsion, so we'll never see him again. Basically, he might as well be dead. Him living changes nothing.

Wow, when I started this I totally forgot that Jeremy was supposed to be in a relationship with Aria too, oh well. I just want to say that this is such a refreshing fanfiction, with an original character that isn't a glorified Mary Sue and nothing bad happens. This was an original idea with a great main character that also kept true to the laws of Vampire Diaries. Sprinkle in the witty humour and great character development you got going on, and you get this amazing thing. So amazing in fact, that I will wait for you to come back to this fanfiction, fire up an old machine, and start updating this again. I will wait for you like I wait for the final installment of Austin Powers (It's coming, I just know it!)!

Should I give up hope that after 2ish years, you’ll update sometime? Really love the story, love Aria, too. Holding out hope for an update, anyway.

Holy Shit this story is freaking amazing.
And I really really hope you will continue this, because Damon is freaking adorable, I adore your OC and I was really looking forward to endgame trio.
I mean you could already see how freaking well they would all fit togehter. I mean there would have probably been a bit anxiety to get Damon to see that an equal relationship between three people is not the same shit Katherine did to him.
But hopefully not to much because Damon doesn't deserve to go through the anxiety of being only "second best" again.
And your story changes are great and I was looking forward to the whole ripples it would all cause latter.

I love your story. It's nice to see a different side of Damon that's also well written. Points for not focussing on Elena drama so much, makes for a much more pleasant read. Jeremy is great too would love to see some more of him as well. Keep up the good work!
