I remember RE:Monster. Amazing Isekai story. Now to see this has piqued my interest!

I wasn't here for the long Hiatus but still, it would be great to see this get an update. It is an interesting concept and I really want to see where it goes.

PotEntial. Just make sure you give a GOOD reason for Jaune to actually feel like taking a bite out of a Grimm aside from no weapon and half pinned to the ground.

I think the category needs to change to crossover of rwby x korean manhwa or something to rflect the sources and help with searches. Also, while the mundane stuff might not give much skill if any, rarer kinds of fishes or even rocks could give abilities if you so choose. Re:monster has the protag eating elemental stones (basically dust in RWBY canon) and other naturally occurring non-animals so the sky's the limit with abilities. Also, are you gonna put up a level stats/skils screen and other "Gamer" elements to keep track or just carry over gaining skills from eating? Lastly, if you are having a bit of trouble with the rewrite it might be helpful to have Jaune unlock his "semblance" after Pyrrha awakens his aura so you can make it easier to build up romance by having the whole "secret between partners" going on with those two. Just something to think about though.

This seems good, your right about just eating normal things to get powers being boring. Maybe look up grimms on deviantart for reference, maybe blood or dust can be added to food to gain powers. But other semblances should not be transferred unless he physically bits that person, but the body type and semblance of the person whose blood he eats can add a small boost to his body. Just a suggestion though.

The protagonist of Re:Monster can gain abilities by eating anything including poisons and weapons. It's just more effective if you eat the brain or other organs of living beings. Theoretically Jaune with a Consumption semblance could eat one of Cinder's arms and gain not only Cinder's semblance and combat abilities but also some of the fall maiden powers.

Are you taking suggestion for what canon/original Grimm Jaune will 'eat' and what abilities he will gain?
