I am LOVING the different perspectives in all of this! Everyone has some connection to this case that is making it hard for them to be themselves

I haven't even finished reading this chappy yet, but I absolutley love the drunk bromance moment between Hughes and Mustang!

Seriously. This is a really good story this far. It actually made me feel very real emotions. It's obviously a couple of years since it was posted, but it feels like a really original story never the less. Thank you for sharing it!

Maes is so soft and gentle and I love him so much. What a man what a dad. If roy hadnt already adopted the boys ages ago then he would have been all over them like white on rice. He like. Co-adopted them. He deserves them and they, oh, they deserve him and need him so much honestly. And Ed is so brave and so strong and I love him even more.
And then there’s Roy, who i love the most for multitudinous reasons, but he’s not the subject of this review.
Anyway Maes and Roy escorted Ed all the way back to Resembool and Ed was so overwhelmed that he decided to pass out on Maes (maybe not as much his decision) and slept the whole way back and Maes just kinda cried (and roy a lil bit laughed)

What a stellar fic. My PERSONAL preference is the second but I still love this one so fucking much. What beautiful parental. What stellar angst, what amazing hurt comforts, and just LOOK at those AMAZING dads. God this is amazing

Honestly. That man. He means the world to me but HONESTLY.
I imagine Roy was so mad at everything and he didn’t wanna get mad that he sent Havoc for Ed instead of picking him up himself, which, mood. I TOTALLY get it, my darling. Ed really is going to give Roy a heart attack one of these days. If only Roy would say something about it so Ed, idk, chills out a little? Oof, or maybe he just stops telling him anything.
Also, “you would have been proud” as if there wasnt pride itching at roy’s heart just from those words. Ed had handled it so well and Roy HAD been scared that he wouldnt, but there he was, being the best and bravest boy. God i love them all.

Wow i cant even believe that Roy is LITERALLY the best dad in existence like wow what a man so kind and sweet to his sons he loves them so much I can’t even believe.
I agree with Roy, i REALLY dont think Ed should be meeting with Pace. I know Ed has things he has to figure out, but he doesnt need to know and I’m afraid it’ll only hurt him more ;-;

Oh they found him in time
Oh thank god they found him in time! He must have been so scared and in need of his family when he was there all alone injured about to be killed that poor little baby just needs someone to hold him and comfort him and kiss him and its a good thing his daddy came just in time.

He’s still alive, at any rate.
That boy deserves the whole ass world, he was so strong and so brave and I’m so proud of him. He can hopefully rest now, but I know it’s only gonna get worse for that poor baby. Someone get him into therapy; he’s going to need it.

I havent reread this fic in MONTHS and i’m so excited i read a line from the sequel that broke my heart and i decided it was time to reread.
Poor Ed, poor sweet baby he must be so scared. And how nice of his mama and papa to come checking on him right away, so attentive. I love them so much ;-;
As much as I know what’s going to happen I still DREAD whats going to happen i cant wait to get back into the rest of these fics theyre going to ruin my life.

Ive been hearing rumors about how good this little series of yours is, and I finally sat down and gave it a shot! And man, am I glad I did! Your writing is wonderful and I loved everything about his fic! I am very excited to read the next two installments :D

This is my second time reading this and somehow it was even better than I remembered it. I adored the easy dialogue between the characters, I love your Roy, I'm enthralled with your Ed, so mature, yet childish all the same. The first time I read this I was incredibly impressed with how seamlessly past events bled into the story. And I was so very pleased with your portrayal of trauma. I want you to know that I think about this story, and it's sequels, quite often.
