I was wondering, does this story take place in the same timeline as your other Posedion-Percy oneshots? Like is it the same timeline/universe as the "Tip Your WAitress.." or "Depreviation" or the other one where Posedion thinks Percy is dying when he actually has cold? And I hope you continue this story. Its fun to read.

Brilliant! I've never read any story or even any head canons that have Percy interacting with horses apart from Blackjack when he gets to camp! So interesting to see Percy have that bond with the horses that is separate from the one gained through Poseidon. Percy inspires such loyalty and those horses see it
I love seeing Poseidon in a parent off with a horse! Like Poseidon over a glass of nectar mumbling about how he is a much more handsome horse anyways and why doesn't Percy offer him sugar cubes? Wait am I actually jealous of sugar cubes!? That gods damned horse!

Someone lets it slip to Percy once that Poseidon was complaining about the lack of sugar cubes and he decides to offer one into the fire before dinner. Poseidon smugly brags to Storm for weeks
