Reviews for Blair and Jo's Amorous Adventure
puckentinefan1 chapter 11 . 6/7
Wow, So hot and Erotic. I kind of always knew that blair was bottom. This proved it when she took Jo in her bottom. So awesome.
Wiz bang chapter 12 . 1/6/2019
Everything I love in a romance all rolled into one fabulous story. I always liked the idea of Blair and Jo as the ultimate odd couple. You've done a fantastic job of bringing these characters back to life in an enjoyable, fun and really cute way. Thanks for the read, I really enjoyed it.
Guest chapter 1 . 11/20/2018
I love Lesbian Fan fictions. I happen to be part of the LBGT community myself. I love any fanfiction that has 2 ladies loving each other in it. I love Puckentine and now the Polniack Warner lesbian relationship. Even as a young person I always thought Jo and Blair were lovers. I felt that Jo was the Dominant partner while Blair was the submissive partner, the butch and the bitch so to speak. I love the fact that you included a little lesbian anal sex in this story. I thought it was awesome how you wrote that Blair was about to complain to Jo and Jo shoved the strap on in Blairs Anus just to shut her up.
Guest chapter 12 . 9/12/2018
This was AWESOME. Everything exactly as it should have been, if the ‘80s weren’t so awful. I hope the author is writing professionallly!
Guest chapter 1 . 9/12/2018
YAAAAAAAAS!
I grew up in the ‘80s, bi and convinced Jo and Blair should be a couple. It’s freaking awesome to read a story where it actually happens!
Guest chapter 2 . 6/12/2018
Just got to say this is amazing! I love this story so much. The characterization is spot on, and the writing style is michelin rated. You're setting the bar high for my first real JO and Blair fanfic read.

Thundercatroar chapter 12 . 5/4/2016
To begin, I must say, that this was one hell of a fanfic! I binge read this thing over the course of one afternoon and a night, and though this isn’t one of my go to fandoms, I am really, *REALLY* grateful that you wrote this, and that I found it to enjoy!

Thank you, thank you so much for all the hard work and love that you poured into this! You really went the extra mile and wrote something beautiful, meaningful, and made me think, and re-think two of the main characters, my favorite two, actually, even waaaaaaay back when.

I was mighty young when it came out, but I “grew up” watching The Facts of Life from the first airing of the pilot episode. I watched religiously until my own angst ridden adolescence began, then I lost interest. I always did enjoy the show though, but largely forgot it until I started watching re-runs on Logo and got hooked again.

I swear I am not making fun of the LBGT community when I say this….

I didn’t know what gay or lesbian was when I was a kid, so I didn’t make the Blair/Jo connection until as of late.

(I know that’s not canon, but I think it wasn’t canon because of the constraints of today, today their asses would be together and the fandom would call the pairing “Blo”. That doesn’t look right, does it? ;D)

I was a very sheltered, stupid kid, my parents told me *nothing* about life, I had to learn things on my own. As an example- some boy on the bus when I was in the fifth grade called me a lesbian, I was confused as to why he would call me that, because I didn’t participate in plays or go to the theatre. A quick looking up of the word in a dictionary, and a whole new world was opened until mom caught me looking up dirty words I heard on the bus and she took the dictionary away.

Thesaurus too, and I didn’t even use it.

Anyhoo…

That being said, being older and now endowed with the delightfully perverse ability to read into things, you are spot on with the Polniczek/Warner love triangle, and it is a love triangle, because you have Jo, Blair, and Blair’s hair involved. You can cut the sexual tension with a knife if you watch the show now, and over the evolution of Blair and Jo’s relationship over the Eastland, Edna’s Edibles, and Over Our Heads years- you have wonder how in the world the two characters didn’t just share that moment of silence in between insults, grab one another’s faces, and then start frenching it out during some of their more heated “bickering”. Lord knows their faces got close enough, and Blair might have still been a little angry with Jo, but only because Jo would be fisting Blair’s hair in her hands as she kissed her senseless.

She’d probably get over it. Maybe.

But seriously…..

It is simply masterful how you took the canon show and made actual references from plots and episodes, weaving them seamlessly into your telling of a plausible romantic relationship between Jo and Blair. You not only did that, but you also made it extremely realistic and believable, a lot of people, including myself, hold that once a relationship is solidified, it’s smooth sailing and romps in satin for the rest of their lives, and that’s not the case. Anything worth having is worth working for, and love, though rewarding, is a pain in the ass you have to work for to keep. Loving someone means you have to love *all* of them, and loving someone includes their quirks, insecurities, and backgrounds, (sometimes fucked up family, both sides, but if you‘re lucky only on holidays) and both Blair and Jo have the capability to try both each other’s patience, and that theory, infinity.

I just love that even with all the turmoil that runs rampant in Blair and Jo’s lives from not only outside influences, but within the confines of their own relationship, even if they were tempted, in the end, they would find it completely impossible to walk away from each other, because their love is genuine, and it won’t allow them to.

That truly is real love, and coming from two girls who haven’t exactly seen a love like that depicted in their lives, especially Blair. I know that Blair and Jo’s parents love their daughters respectively, but they are children of divorce, and that does color their perceptions of what love is, relationships, and their permanence, which is what makes Blair and Jo’s loving realtionship even more unique and special.

As their relationship together grows and matures, so they grow and mature independently becoming their own persons as well, making Blair and Jo better for each other, and it’s beautiful! You allowed us to watch them blossom as they walked along in life together battered by the storms in it, and instead of allowing the bad things that are said to them or happen to them to destroy them and dampen their love, Jo and Blair come out the other side with even more respect and love for the other, both of them individually and on a whole the better for having weathered them, growing up and maturing emotionally, but still remaining their core (canon) selves.

That’s hard to do in a fic, but you pulled it off like a champ!

Honestly, in your portrayal of the two, I didn’t even really look at them as a same sex couple or “gay”, but rather two people who were lucky enough to find love with one of their best friends in the world, and really, isn’t that how we should look at something like this? Love is really too unique, rare, and precious to squander over petty arguments over gender, no matter what it is.

And lest I forget, the humor! Oh, my God I could hug and kiss you, and then buy you a steak the size of a toilet seat for the humor you put into this! You are a stinking genius for that, and you held true to the show for putting in the one liners and zingers that Jo and Blair would use, along with the supporting cast of Mrs.G, Natalie, and Tootie! I was literally laughing helplessly at parts you had written, especially about Jo’s take on art, and spreading poop on a canvas, I love it when an author has the courage to use “coarse” language in a fic when it is warranted too, no one says “Oh, gosh, golly almighty that smarts!” No, they “BEEEP, that BEEEPIN’ HURT!”

And the fact that Blair Warner drops the F-Bomb a couple’a times?

Epic, BEEEEEEPIN’ epic!

*Stands and applauds*

Needless to say I loved this story! It had it all!

Thank you again for the great entertainment!

‘Roar

P.S. If you’re looking for a fantastic animated show, especially one to introduce to a ‘tween/teenager, may I please suggest Nickelodeon’s The Legend of Korra. It will completely change your life, it did mine. I *never* thought I’d live to say this, but I like better than ThunderCats, and that, is a bold ass statement coming from a rabid ‘Cats fan like me.

Just reread your story...there's some good stuff out there, but this is phenomenal! Sooo well written. Just had to comment again, perhaps to inspire you to tap into Jo Blair fictionland once more! Or even a couple of more times! Don't give up!
Lee Janeway chapter 12 . 4/3/2016
Just read the whole story and really loved it it was well written got the characters spot on. Thank you for writting this story
Apple Annie chapter 12 . 1/8/2016
Nothing in my story resembles sexual assault in anyway. All sex is consensual. I am offended by WrittenWhirlwind's review as it is in no way representative or reflective of anything that happened in my story.
WrittenWhirlwind chapter 1 . 1/3/2016
While I like the story I have a big problem with Blair's POV of when she sneaks into Jo's bed. It's one thing to kiss the back of someone's head(that's pretty iffy) but it is not okay to sexually assault them in their sleep. Which is exactly what Blair did. Anytime you touch someone without their consent it's assault no two ways about it. Being in love doesn't give Blair an excuse or make it okay.

Now assuming that this story isn't meant to be about insane levels of creepy one sided "romance" from Blair, you could replace it with a scene like Blair snuggling up to Jo and Jo snuggling back or some type of spooning thing which works better for who the characters are at that moment(not ready to tell the other they like each other but still wanting to be close.)
Guest chapter 12 . 11/21/2015
Awesome!
Scoundrel73 chapter 12 . 10/5/2015
Hot...passionate...don't you just love Blair and Jo! Brilliant writing! Do you have another FOL story in the works? Thanks for the adventure!
Gin Rickey chapter 12 . 10/7/2015
i LOVE this ending. First of all, the Christmas Eve scene where they recreated what COULD have been years ago was amazingly beautiful and sexy. And this line from Jo's wedding vows stood out for me: "you took that anger away, not with words, but by being you". That is so, so true in the context of the show. Great work, I really hope you write more!
