This fic is rather disjointed at times but your spelling and grammar is solid. I don't know... the characters just sort of feel a bit flat? Also, Suzaku randomly and inexplicably running into/reuniting with Euphemia was totally random... and kind of irritated me; I thought you had laid some interesting groundwork to allow deviations from the canon plot by not having those two ever end up together(like I'm suspecting you're now going to have them end up) as well avoiding the whole SAZ massacre because as a princess in hiding she wouldn't be able to orchestrate it.

Then again, this is your baby; far be it for some no-name guest tell you how to raise it, right?

Oh Shit! This is one of those few fanfic Clovis didn't die by ep 3.

Though I know it's pointless since you've already made your choice by now but I want to say my opinion anyway.
First off: by the end of season 1 I didn't doubt that Clovis was a loving brother or that he honestly cared for Lelouch and Nunnally. Just look at the paintings he did of them and their mother in remembrance. Those take time and effort and love and understanding of the person to get right. HOWEVER he sucks as a politician and leader. He depends entirely on his advisors and lets himself be led around by their opinions and ideas. The first time he's really in charge is Shinjuku and he panics at the first sign of things going wrong and orders MASS GENOCIDE.
He makes a WAY better artist and brother than politician or leader.
Cornelia on the other hand is a natural born soldier and leader who by that time had already started making a name and career by herself. If she stayed it's likely she could become the Goddess of Victory again and thus be involved in military and state secrets that Clovis as just a viceroy (and party-prince) would not be. She could be their spy keeping them and their discovery two steps ahead of everyone.

...well that was short, no real complaints otherwise.
