I don’t know if you’re gonna continue with this story but even if you don’t, this is the best story I’ve ever read in my life no cap. I’m sad to not be able to finish it but if you’re a writer wanna do anything along the lines of storytelling go for it! THIS Story is amazing! I’m probably gonna read it like 40 times tbh. He was soft towards her, even wrapping her with a blanket only for Ursa to reveal she was one step ahead of him. Ozai likes that he an be himself and yet have that person care about him as well. Also his bipolar disorder and starting to show more often...would you say that he has bipolar disorder or no?

Ozai's soft spot shown at that beach scene. Super delicate and well done. you communicate so much of a character with so little. sigh just appreciating a great fanfic. They are so rare.

Ursa stands her ground and he gives a little in regards to Ursa picking his Firebending master. Ozai...is just complicated and Ursa is learning how to navigate his ass. Loving it. Also, Azulon and Ozai relationship is just so cruel. Poor Ozai.

Ozai going to Zuko was such a beautiful scene. I hope you include the scene from the comics that Ozai tells zuko when Zuko goes to him in prison, the scene of Ozai saving Zuko's life as a tidal wave took him out to the ocean. you emphasize Ozai's ability to swim multiple times so looking forward to that chapter. But amazing writing. The power dynamic of Ursa and Ozai is like...I just don't know. Again you are a phenomenal writer. I am super picky of plots, character dynamics, and realistic portrayal and honestly there isn't any criticism I could give to your writing. It's so well done.

So this chapter, Ursa was showing vulnerablity with Ozai as she continues to question herself. Ozai, is just brilliantly manipulating her. But, with the monster comment I can't help seeing him being taken back by that. AND VIOLA, another vulnerable moment for Ozai. Honestly, these two. every move just builds a foundation for the next move to take place that would be even a more gutsy move on Ursa's end.

You are so wonderful. You are great at slowly building this up. :)

Again canon. Well done! Love how Ursa is so stressed out that she collapses at the end once she knows Zuko is safe at least for now. Love the transformation of Ursa into a mother. The little details you put into this is just so good. I cannot rave enough. Having the fire sages united on Zuko's behalf was wonderful writing. I really like Ozai as a character. He is easy to read and he can be so cruel, but when he practices restraint as an abuser that part always fascinates me. Throughout the story, he does it constantly with Ursa alone. No one else he restrains himself with. Just Ursa.

Psychological abuse games comes in. Ozai is tactful. But it's so interesting watching him bend for Ursa just so he can keep her. You an again a fantastic writer. The way you weave characters dynamic together is electrifying.

Perfect canon. In the comics ozai yells this story to Zuko of having him killed thinking he was a nonbender. So lovely that this is canon. Please continue this. This is amazing and so perfect.

This chapter opening of their wedding night to the rape he does after. YES! What a juxtaposed scene set up you did there. AND I ALWAYS IMAGINED OZAI BURNING URSA. Yessssssss! Love that this was put in. And to used later as a motif with Zuko. In love with your writing!

Ursa gaining strength in this chapter is basically fantastic character development in the making.

The Azulon dynamic here! What a glimpse! I loved Ursa’s thoughts on their relationship and the insight on Ozai mental instability is based on his father favoritism. You nailed this pair.

i love how Ozai’s character doesn't dismiss Ursa but instead uses her as a focus of his frustrations. And Ursa overtime learns to manage that. Bryke should take notes.
