This is so well written. It's poignant, and I think it really speaks to the change we see in Obi-Wan from the end of episode III to the beginning of A New Hope. He's among the last, but he gets to be there at the start, too.

Very sad yet hopeful at the same time, a friend of mine even suggested when Obi-Wan fell to Vader's saber the reason he simply disappeared was because his physical body had already passed on and he was projecting himself through the force

Someone, you made that slightly more hopeful than I ever thought it could be. Also, I completely agree, the Clone Wars TV series is awesome! I've watched the first three and a half seasons in a week.

Oh wow, I did NOT expect 844 words to make me so emotional. But they did.
I was super into Star Wars growing up, too. It was something I did with all of my siblings - watch the movies, play the Lego Star Wars video games ;D Obi-Wan has always been one of my FAVorite characters, and I feel like he and the prequels are under appreciated... So Thank you for writing something about both. Man, this was so good. Perfect balance of angst and hope. Really love how you seamlessly bridged the gap between the two trilogies.
