Whenever I read these things I sometimes question why I do. I mean, they just make me feel very, very sad, even though they are two levels of fake. Still, I do, because I like reading sad things. This is one of those times. This hurts, and now I am going to cry in hole.

This is an excellent character piece - you really captured Zuko's conflict from going down a path he used to want to (and isn't sure he still does) and how his experiences have changed him. And ow, that ending.
