I love this last chapter! Although the ending is surprising, I think it is beautiful and worthy of such a great story. The TVD writers wasted the cure on Katherine (they actually wasted the whole cure story line, and used it only to create some more drama within the triangle - in my opinion), but you have found a meaningful end for the cure by giving it (in a very unexpected way) to the character/person who needed it the most, and who will truly appreciate it:) I will not deny that I would very much like to read a sequel, but I totally understand and respect your decision not to make one so far:)

I would very much like to apologize for taking so much time in finishing reading the story! It has had nothing to do with the story itself, but with my life being busy (some health problems, work, school, being a caregiver for someone in my family, while trying to have a social life as well). It has also had to do with me slowly drifting away from anything TVD, a show which I don't enjoy anymore (as well as most things related to it). It is stories like this one that have prevented me from completely cutting ties with this show, as I have felt compelled to come back to them again and again, and finish them.

And I am very glad I have finished "Let the Right One In"! I think your work on this story is wonderful, and I like what you did with these characters (much, much better than what TVD writers did). Damon's reflections on his (and Stefan's) past as children, Elena's numerous moments of finding herself and fighting the sire bond, Stefan and Elena reminiscing their love and beautiful moments, Stefan's "wake-up" moment when he was ready to rip people apart being tempted by Rebekah, as well as his breakdown over Elena's death (which was so credible, and so in line with his character), Bonnie's sacrifice and the characters' grief over it - all those moments have stuck with me, and I absolutely loved them:)

I love your balanced view of the characters, and especially of the ones in the triangle. I think Elena-Stefan-Damon remains the worst triangle I have ever seen on tv, but you handled it in a very elegant and balanced way, and that made it more bearable to me. And even if Elena chooses Stefan, Damon is given a lot of respect and importance (and treated as his own person); he does not become a cheerleader or counselor for Elena and Stefan, as Stefan became in the show for Damon and Elena.

THANK YOU for all your your effort and hard work in writing this amazing story! I hope that more people will discover and enjoy it, just like I did:)

This was a chapter full of events! I really like that Stefan and Elena are together and enjoy their love. Damon feels like a third wheel, and he is aware of that, it will take him a long time to get over the fact that Elena is not with him, but Stefan. I like that Elena and Stefan are aware of that, and are trying not to make him feel worse than he already does; at the same time, they know they have the right to live their love; I like how Stefan is so playful with Elena, and how she wants to spend as much time as possible with him, as if she wants to make up for all the lost time when they weren't together:)

Damon talking to Alaric's tomb was funny, and so Damon! And him realizing what an amazing person Bonnie was, that was a beautiful moment in the chapter!

And of course, I was again taken by surprise by the unexpected cliffhanger at the end!

I liked the conversation between Damon and Stefan. I wonder what Klaus is hiding. Damon, Stefan and Elena seem to be slowly building their relationship back; in spite of everything that has happened between the three of them, they seem to be on the right track; I enjoyed the last part, with Stefan's thoughts:)

This was more of a Stelena chapter, and I am not complaining:) I think it was about time Stefan and Elena had some moments for themselves, in spite of all the problems and worries around them. It was funny to see Stefan giving Elena the "death stare" as she forced him to go up on the stage and sing with her. And they surely had some of the best moments of their lives! As I was reading, I couldn't help thinking how ironic it was that the whole crowd of people weren't aware that they had two vampires among them (that is two powerful creatures that could have easily turned that night into a not so happy night); however, the two vampires came in peace, and behaving like two normal teenagers who wanted to have fun, like any other human being:) It was a lovely chapter!

Some people seem to be ready to move on, and that is a good thing. I am glad that you had Matt leave Mystic Falls and find his own way, instead of just keeping him in the gang and useless, like the show did. The scene between Damon and Elena was nice. And I think it would be good for Jeremy to get away from all this, your idea of leaving to live with Matt in Florida was very good:)

One of the loveliest chapters of this story, and that is mainly because of Damon's development. It seems there are people who care about him, but he cannot be easily convinced to do the thing that would put him out of his misery. His conversation with Katherine was spot-on, they are both alone and lost, they understand each other like no one else, and that is why they need each other.

Damon's thoughts in the middle of the chapter were one of the best parts in the entire story. I like what you have done with him in your story:) He indeed needs to find who he really is, and stop expecting the others to validate him, or make him feel good about himself. It is nice to see him have the courage to go back to Mystic Falls and face the others knowing they hate him, and do that for himself, not for Elena or anyone/anything else.

Bonnie's memorial was full of grief, as expected. I loved seeing Elena being once again the one to rise above the resentment and try to make peace with the whole situation. Finding her way back to Stefan has meant finding her way back to herself, and now this whole journey of hers is complete:)

I never expected Klaus to keep his word and release Katherine in exchange for the cure, but now it has happened, and she is free; I would love to see more of the free Katherine. It is nice to see Tyler back, and him with Caroline, I loved his character starting with season 2, and I loved him and Caroline together. Damon and Katherine seem to have a connection and understanding that they don't have with the other characters, and the scene between them showed that very well:)

I loved the scene between Elena and Bonnie, and what Bonnie said to Elena, namely that she doesn't have to live a perfect life, she just has to live. Now that it has become clear that he will never have Elena, Damon does no longer care about people's lives and is back to his old ways. Klaus seems to hide something. Katherine's interaction with Damon and Klaus should be very interesting in the next chapter.

This conversation between Damon and Stefan should have been on the show as well. It is so appropriate to see Stefan as the one who really knows what is going on in Damon's heart, and why he behaves the way he does. Stefan is right in thinking that Damon behaves like he does because he actually wants people to be mad at him so he can get a reaction from them; and that his behavior is his way of dealing with his broken heart. It is beautiful to see Stefan get through to Damon. Stefan's line to Damon "I chose Elena and she chose me, but what are you going to choose, Damon?" is amazing. I think this is a question the show should have asked as well.

I am glad that Bonnie is still on everyone's mind; each of them is trying to cope with her loss, and you did very well in showing that. Jeremy's reaction was heartbreaking (I expected that).

And what a surprise at the end of the chapter! With everything that has happened lately, I totaly forgot about Klaus! You surely know how to surprise the readers:)

You can always count on Damon to deliver hilarious replies even in the darkest moments, I couldn't help but laugh at his verbal exchanges with Bonnie at the beginning of the chapter; I think that he was the only person who could help Bonnie carry out her plan. The spell scene was hard for me to read, but it that did not make me enjoy it less, because it had a lot of tension and realistic details.

I think Elena reacted very well and in character at finding out about Bonnie. Damon had to stand there and take all her anger and pain (I felt sorry for him). It was such a difficult situation for everybody and you did a brilliant job at showing their complex and contradictory feelings at what happened, especially Elena and Stefan's. I am curious to see Jeremy's reaction too, and also more of Damon's feelings.

I also loved that Stefan and Caroline tried until the last moment to stop Bonnie from performing the spell. I appreciate all these details you included, which show that Bonnie means a lot to everybody.

The love scene between Elena and Stefan was very well done, I think it beautifully captured their love and passion and longing for each other. Great chapter!

I think you did an amazing job at showing the two contrasting points of view that Stefan and Damon have, regarding Bonnie casting the spell to bring Elena back. The dialogue between the two brothers was very intense and charged with emotion. Each of them stayed true to their character. Damon was right in pointing out that the last time Stefan chose not to save Elena in order to save Matt (because Elena asked), he drowned in guilt and shame knowing that he is the reason Elena is a vampire. Stefan was right when he pointed out to the pain that Elena and the others will go through knowing that Bonnie is dead. The fact that you make the reader understand both points of view is proof of great writing:)

I also understand Bonnie's willingness to sacrifice herself for Elena - she feels guilty for letting Shane control her, and in her view that control ultimately led to Elena's death. And Elena died a few chapters ago because she was willing to do anything (including risking her life) in order to save both Jeremy and Bonnie. I just wish there was another way, but I totally respect your decision. You wrote Bonnie's thoughts as she contemplated her death very beautifully.

The last part was very emotional, beautifullly written. I realize sacrificing Bonnie maybe the only way to bring Elena back, but somehow that doesn't sit well with me. Maybe because I still have in mind how Bonnie was treated in the show, and because I love Bonnie more than Elena, and because she has already suffered enough (I suppose that everything that has happened in the show up to season 4 is true for this story as well). I hope I will be able to deal with what will happen in the following chapters:)

"Lexi-fied," haha, that was such an adorable, funny and appropiriate term! I did not expect Stefan to be 'Lexified" in this chapter, it was a nice surprise:) I loved the little speech she gave to Stefan (and hope was always a theme with Stefan, and with Stelena), but I must confess that what I loved the most about this moment (except for Lexi's surprise appearance), was Caroline's appearance as Lexi disappeared. It was so well done! The silhouette of Lexi (who is dead, but came back for a moment) replaced by that of Caroline (who is very much alive, and overwhelmed about Elena like everyone else) into Stefan's sight, I thought that was extremely beautiful:) Lexi's presence reminds him of who he really is, and Caroline's presence tells him he needs to take action.

A lovely chapter, I laughed at Damon's attempts to take his role as a big brother seriously and try to control his little brother; and also at the whole scene of the chaos that Stefan stirred at the Grill - there was nothing funny about this scene if I sit and think, but it was just the way you portrayed Stefan spiraling into drunkenness through his own eyes. It is interesting that he doesn't remember what he did to Jeremy, Elena's death must have been a greater shock than I thought.

I also enjoyed reading Bonnie's thoughts about the whole situation; of course Bonnie would blame herself, that is who she is, but I appreciated that you had her thinking about what Stefan did on the previous day. I also loved what Jeremy told Damon and Stefan. I think that it is very realistic that you had characters think about Damon and Stefan's actions, and have complex feelings about them. I honestly don't remember the show doing that; it had Damon or Stefan doing bad things, and the next day it was swept under the rug, and the other characters had nothing to say about it (with a few exceptions, of course).

I loved how emotional this chapter was (emotional in a very hard, burdening way), and how well you wrote the emotional rollercoaster that each character went through. Damon was indeed the voice of reason, and the last one standing almost until the end, when he collapsed too. Stefan behaved in character - for me, this is how he would have behaved if he lost Elena (although I would also imagine him trying to pull himself together and come up with a plan), and it was heartbreaking to see him like that; a human Stefan would be devastated at the loss of Elena, but a vampire Stefan would be even worse, letting his vampire instincts coming to the surface because of his pain, just like he did at one point in this chapter.

I loved how all of them had their moments of being strong for the others, it was nice to see Caroline doing what Elena would have done. But reality hit them very hard once they got back home, and the scene in front of Elena's house was heartbreaking for me to read. It was instense to see both Jeremy and Stefan's instincts come to the surface, and both behaving like they would never do it in other circumstances (and that scene reminded me once again that we are dealing with supernatural beings here!) The last part, with Damon's thoughts, was also heartbreaking, I really felt for him. Everything seems hopless now.

Thsi was an outstanding chapter for me, you have done an amazing job at making me feel the powerful emotions these felt:)
