This is great, though I am surprised there is no mention of the mental link here. But that is my only criticism. I would love to read more of your interpretation of Sarek and Amanda.

Knowing this is just a small portion of your WIP (perhaps never to be finished... a travesty, but one I'm personally familiar with) makes me very curious about their future. And their past. How did Amanda end up in his world? I can't imagine any reason for a 16 year old to be regularly interacting with an alien ambassador... Maybe one of her parents works for him? Maybe she got a very early internship that never quite ended? And, being so very young, does she go through a period of rebellious regret for this decision? Will there be a time when she strains against all the Vulcan expectations, causing conflict in their marriage that they must work through? Is Spock conceived immediately, or during a subsequent Pon Farr? Or at an altogether different time? I imagine her, barely 21, raising an infant Spock (bet he'd be a colicky baby!) on a oven of a planet, surrounded by Vulcans looking down their noses at her, and I'm filled with such sympathy. She's so shell shocked throughout this whole event, I wonder how (if) she ever recovers.

This was lovely and sweet. It's a bit weird that he knew her as a kid of 16, but overall this was a good intro to an unconventional pairing.

Very good story , no foreplay her straight to the point. I really like the the story well written like the dialog between Sarek and Amanda please continue with the after parts.

The universe can never have enough Sarek/Amanda! The characters are in voice, and a wonderful take on "how they met"!

This is fascinating and I would love to read more even if the larger work remained unfinished.

This was lovely! I enjoy your characterizations of Sarek and Amanda, as well as Soran, and I think your depiction of things Vulcam is spot on. I can relate to wanting to write a long story but feeling daunted by the effort involved. Could you post some other vignettes from your larger work, even if the larger one isn't completed?
